Bet the commish wishes Atlanta had a retractable roof this weekend with less then ideal weather in ATL. Sorry Rob
Roof was also closed all of last year at the neutral Arlington. I bet both sides would favor ideal/no-wind conditions.
Still amazes me that networks can’t get competent analysts in the biggest series of the year…. Frank Thomas (on Rosario): “When you’re hot, you stay hot… that’s something I know….”. A-Rod: “He was Kike Hernandez hot!” And nobody mentions how Kike, and the Red Sox, went cold almost instantaneously.
WARNING! THIS IS MY MIKE from a political thing 37 years ago. It's the appropriate response to Rob Manfred, not trying to interject politics! The guys dead. But it was a GREAT RESPONSE. to another "MANFRED."
Found the rules: "For all games in the postseason (Division Series, League Championship Series, World Series), the Commissioner or his designee shall make all decisions regarding roof/wall panel movement, in consultation with the home Club and the umpire crew chief. The home Club shall provide to the Baseball Operations department the name of the individual responsible for the movement of the roof/wall panels." Oh hey commish, yeah our roof guy is called Fonda Cox. Seeya.
LOL...I'm watching pregame on espn2. Nothing that idiotic yet. eta: and they just cut what was supposed to be a 1 hour lead-in to show PTI. Weird.
Today? It's 1000000000% humidity. Also, why should MLB get to dictate our home games? Didn't make us open the roof in 17 or 19. Didn't make the arlington stadium open the roof last year. Why this season?
Did Yonder Alonso just pick his 5 most dangerous world series hitters in this series and leave Correa off the list completely?
A-Rod: “Houston has the better team… but the Braves have better pitching…. And they’ve got a stacked team and lineup…” Keep in mind these are scripted statements since they’ve had 3 days to think about this game… just unbelievably bad.
Even though I am confident we will win this series, always funny how doomsday scenarios can pop up in the mind. Yordan stepping up as usual will calm that down. According to expected wOBA, Yordan has been the best hitter in this postseason. Rosario's wOBA says he has over performed the expected contact, albeit the expected contact has still been dominant.
Did A-Rod just say both Altuve and Albies are 5'7? I stood next to Altuve in person and he's about 5'5 at best
