I have 2 tickets for all 3 Braves games. They were about $550/each. Games 4 & 5 are in the upper deck, while Game 3 are in the OF. Game 3 was the cheapest. If we had to settle for the StubHub pricing, we'd have been going to Houston. Don't know if I'll hang on to all of them or sale them to friends. I really wanted 4 tickets to one game to take one of my kids and my Dad. My Dad will still be going.
I agree with this. Fried will be a tough task in game two but we will get him in game six. we get to Charlie tomorrow but then he gets us back in Atlanta in game five.
If Stros win, I will probably go back and read the game 7 pages from that game 7 we don't talk about. Maybe I should do that now .
Houston baseball has changed a lot in the last decade. From a few 100+ loss seasons, to 3 World Series appearances in 5 years. We are very lucky to be witnessing this team's success. This team could still be this good for at least a few more years. One of the greatest runs for a team ever, and they're not done.
Charlie Morton is a beloved former Astros pitcher and should recuse himself from this series for that conflict of interest.
I now live in Atlanta and have to hear "Bravos" talk around the office for the next two weeks. Please, please win Astros. If we lose, I will be listening to this crap for a year. The only thing worse would be if the "Dawgs" were to win a Natty. God help me.
I am getting a 2005 White Sox - Astros WS vibe for this series. The Braves remind me of our 2005 team. We had lost to the Cards the year before after being up 3-2 going into game 6. Then came back and beat them rather easily the following year, even though, stats wise, the 2004 team was better than 2005. This Braves team is missing its best player (Acuna) and is relatively old with decent starting pitching, but has had some clutch hitting. They also got lucky in that the Dodgers literally fell apart the last two weeks with injury after injury. This Astros team, even though we don't have the starting pitching of 2019, has a better bullpen and are a better hitting ballclub from top to bottom. The only easy out is Maldonado. We are also pretty healthy, other than McCullers. If we can get 3-4 innings from our starters, we should be fine. I should add that Truist Park is a great park for line drive hitters. The fences are low. We can really score some runs there. I say we win this in 5.
