I tried them for the first time last night. They are very uncomfortable but if they work, I guess I'll keep using them. It says to use them every day for 14 days. Has anyone else used them? Do they work?
My mom used them but she smokes and drinks coffee so I don't think you can tell the difference. My friend uses them and he actually wears them over the night and says they work best that way.
goto your local dentist and get some mouth treys made, and then you can use that bleach gel stuff. Much easier this way and more comfortable.
My dentist said I could try them, but she said they probably would only help a little bit. She said the yellowish tinge in my teeth is less of a stain and more of the way they are.
Wow! I bought these 2 weeks ago and contemplated starting a thread about it... but I decided not too b/c I couldn't get them on my teeth. So now I've wasted $35 and the other 13 strips are sitting in my bathroom. I feel like a real moron for not being able to put them on my teeth without getting all the white junk all over my fingers. The darned thing just kept getting stuck to my fingers, my t-shirt, my lips... I couldn't get it in my mouth properly!
I tried them once and when I sneezed it flew out... I never found it. If you live in Austin and found an old Crest White Strip stuck to the baseboard in the living room of your 2 bedroom apartment... mea culpa. I'm getting the laser whitening done at the end of this month.
I agree....get the trays made at your dentist and use the gel they provide. That stuff is much stronger. However, it can wreak havoc on how your teeth feel. It is more expensive, however. I did the brite lite teeth whitening where they cover your teeth in gel and shine a big lite in your mouth for a few hours. It cost $500 but it worked wonders. It wasn't the most pleasant experience in the world, though. I also got the gel. I think with the 22%(percentage of hydrogen peroxide) gel your only supposed to do it like an hour a day but I screwed up and was doing it overnight. So, my teeth were sensitive as hell and that was really uncomfortable. My dentist told me only an hour a day is all I need. That teeth sensitivity/pain is the worst. I can't stand it.
The cleaning I had done is called BriteSmile. Click this line to go to their website. It works really well.
one thing i dont understand about society - if we made up mostly of average joe's...why the hell do we waste all of our average joe money to try and become something cooler or better looking. i personally don't give a damn if my teeth are white...i mean, i brush and keep them clean - but they aren't sparkling...so what? 5 years ago nothing else would be expected. but at the rate society's goin...everybody will have great looking teeth in a few years and then what? we're all just average again and then looking for something else to "improve."
I tell my wife I wouldn't even buy my kind braces (if we ever had any) unless the were absolutely necessary. If they want perfect teeth one day they can buy them themselves. I would whiten my teeth if it was free or something. I'm just not going out of my way to do so.
I used them but my teeth started to hurt after the first five days, but maybe it's just me and that i have weak teeth.
I have a box with like, 20 strips left for each top and bottom....I usually use them for like a few days then get lazy.
