Yeah Kaplan was saying in his opinion, McCullers probably has to be throwing by now to have a shot but like Baker said, he's not yet. Off topic, do roster size expand for WS? Before the ALCS, I read they were hoping Montero would be ready by then. But who does he replace? And probably rusty
Evoldi mentioned Bregman as a player that rubbed him the wrong way in the past. I imagine he wants to put that cocky persona behind him as he gets older and comes off a couple of injury plagued years. Time makes us all humble eventually.
I hear you but it wasn't that. Dusty, Jose, and Carlos all had fun interviews with the Fox crew then Alex came on right after and the vibe was completely different and off. Not going to worry about it too much though since he's back to producing on the field, but I bet he can still come off approachable in interviews without being seen as cocky. I've seen him do it with the very same Fox crew.
I’ve also noticed a change in Bregman, however I don’t think it’s necessarily been a bad thing. Early in his career he struck me as a Hollywood type persona that was obviously extremely good, and he was looking to be the face of baseball. I think as time passed he’s bought 100% into being the ultimate team first guy and important member of the Houston community. Not to say he wasn’t a team guy in the past but he pretty much always credits team and organization and just reaffirms how happy he is to be a part of it. If he can stay healthy I have no doubt in my mind he’ll continue to produce at an all star level.
He's done a lot in his career, but he's riding the coattails of other greatness. I'm happy for him though. Just don't want him to be the focus why it's happening.
I've been one of the most vocal Dusty haters on here, but give the man his due. He had a 7 game stretch where his starters totaled 18 innings during that time. No one survives that. No one. But Dusty did.
I predict Altuve gets to 23 homers in the post season, putting him in second place all by himself. Needs 2 in the WS to get there.
