A few missed calls against Green (the obvious foul on that dunk attempt where he was slapped in the face, he was clearly hacked on a drive to the basket another time and no call, and the acrobatic and 1 bucket he made where the guy slid under him that was wiped away by a charge call) and this is suddenly a breakout game for him too. Nwaba missed him repeatedly on fast breaks when he was open which was extremely frustrating to watch.

It was first answered with this catch for a loose ball in preseason:

Nice find. But last night we had the backboard as reference marks.

Rim, square, top of backboard and dudes hand on top of Green's head holding him down.

Now wonder Nwaba threw that touchdown pass last night a mile high to Green.
    Dude can jump a mile high. Had the commentators laughing. "Green can jump;
But c'mon, man." [Paraphrasing both commentators]

Would have been a sweet poster, Jalen was way ahead of the pack.

His defense has been much better than initial criticism, and he plays passing lanes very well.

I would like to see Silas run more plays for him. but shots are limited with Wood and KPJ on the court. I actually wouldn't mind if minutes were staggered more to get him running plays more.

You all let the media sell you on this guys. I’ve been saying all along Suggs should’ve been the guy.

Nobody cares, let’s just enjoy watching Green develop. He is still a teenager

Different roles. Mobley has Garland and Sexton already experienced and playing the role
of Porter Green. Two newbies emulating the main point of attack.

Despite the hack show non calls in Mini-soda......Green only has 2 turnovers in two games.
Mobley had 4 this past game.

But my main point was it's a small sample size. There are 80 games to go.
We can pick out any one or two bad games during the season and say, "Look, Look,
    I told you so!!!!!"

Since many were judging Green after his first game, how did Suggs do?

Suggs is shooting 22% from the field. But it’s again it’s a small sample size. All these rookies are just kids adjusting to a much more physical game. They will all show flashes but It’s gonna take them 2-3 years maybe more to come into their own.

Other the Duarte and Scottie Barnes, Barnes is physical there already and Duarte is 24.

I think he’ll find his game faster than Edwards did in Minnesota.

He can get by anyone, he just needs to be taught from scratch how to think about attacking the defender under the basket.

Glad we’re putting him in plenty of off ball situations. He needs to make some tweaks to his shot.

A big disadvantage that both Green and Suggs face is they are playing SG alongside young, inexperienced, shoot-first PGs. That's not a good situation for a young scorer to be in.

You don't have to convince me. All this doom and gloom regarding a 19 year old after a game or two is ridiculous.

Technically only 2 turnovers.....but he's also been blocked 6 times at the rim, which are basically turnovers and he went super chucker mode at times last night taking ill advised shots which were basically turnovers.

There's no way of sugar coating it, Green has a LONG way to go before he'll be a productive NBA player. I'm happy that he had moments where he showed hints of quality last night but it was still another fairly terrible performance for a guy taken #2 overall. He should be the best rookie on the team and he's just nowhere close to that right now.

It doesn't mean he won't ever figure things out, but as of now he's simply not the guy that he was sold as.

He what’s now? 2-15 from 3? His high snappy release just doesn’t look consistent. That was one of the concern for him going into the draft. Might need to work on changing that mechanic.

Chill with the hyperbole. No way he was blocked at the rim 6 times. How do I know that? The Thunder had 4 total blocks as a team the whole game lol. Anyways Ja Morant was blocked constantly at the rim his rookie year. Be glad he’s attacking the basket. You gotta learn how to get those shots off over the trees in a congested painted area and there is no better teacher than experience also known sometimes as trial and error. A few times he was fouled and didn’t get the whistle, but when he earns the respect of the officials hopefully that will change. He’s moving so fast and getting to places at a speed most guys can’t in an unexpected manner that I honestly wonder if they just missed it.

That's not hyperbole, in 2 games he's literally been blocked 6 times within 5 feet of the rim. One of those times it didn't count as a block because they called a foul on another player, but he still got cleanly blocked on the play.

When someone argued that people were exaggerating when they said how many times he got blocked, I went back and double checked by watching again.

He's just not very good right now, which is fine, he's very young and he might one day grow into a productive NBA player. What's weird is how many people desperately are trying to spin his performances thus far. It's okay to admit that he's not doing well thus far.
