What is this whistling crap now the Astros are being accused of? I swear just another made up scandal
In other news... Framber is being accused of cheating by throwing a ball from his hand off the mound and fooling batters into swinging when it curves off the plate. When asked for comment Cora responded "He stole our moves. We are the ones who want to throw that way but somehow he perfected it that game. They must be spying on our practices" More as the BS develops
You have to understand SUPER HEARING. The Astros have figured out a way to pick up whistles from the nosebleed section with their super hearing. Film on the Internet is PROOF.
What Boston Red Sox fans hear when playing The Astros.... What The Astros do to their team Please someone at minute maid play the Negan whistle when Stros are batting....
This is all conspiracy theory mind you, but I think the Astros tech team intercepted the Boston stolen sign signals and replaced them with their own after the 3rd Game.
Man. I'm pumped up for this one. Not going to lie, even knowing it's a best of 7 series, that 2 game stretch where our starting pitching was being decimated was quite demoralizing. But what a way to come back after taking the punches. That 9th inning slaughter....and then Framber completling dominating Boston. What a swing in emotions. October baseball is insane. Here we are....1 away from another WS. Let's close these clowns out. MMP is going to be ROCKING.
Little worried about Luis Garcia. He needs to be on a very short leash. He's given up 16 runs over his last three starts on slightly less than 9 combined innings pitched. We need at least a decent game from him tonight or it's going to game seven. I'd almost rather see a bullpen game. Hope whatever is going on with him is corrected and that he's not hurt and trying to play through it.
While he could be just as bad as he was last Saturday (hopefully not), the Astros now have the advantage of knowing exactly what they need (pitching/bullpen wise) to win the series... something they did not know 1 week ago. They also have a completely rested bullpen (something they couldn't necessarily predict one week ago), and 2 games to unleash them before another potential 2 off days before the WS starts (with Framber locked into that game 1 spot if there is one). Lastly, they have a little bit more of a book on guys like Whitlock, Brasier, Ottavino, Robles, and of course Eovaldi. The Red Sox certainly have more of a book on Javier (not that its helped them)... but that's really the only guy that the Astros have showcased on an extended period (again, thanks to Framber keeping them all rested last game).
I'm a lot worried about him. Yeah, gotta have the snappy hook. The way we're swinging the bats now can make up for some of his sins tonight, but we need a quality start. Dude needs to give us at least 5, with no more than a couple of runs...maybe three.
For 25 innings we looked like a beaten team, deteriorating to the point we were having quick AB's, then Jose's jack in the eighth. What a massive momentum swing...It's a truly historic dinger.
I'd be stunned if Dusty doesn't plan to pull Garcia quickly if he sees another Game 2 unfolding. The key is to minimize the damage and not allow a damn grand slam this time.
