It may hurt to admit this but I don’t think Green will ever be in the same category as H****n. I think he’ll be an all star caliber player but superstar is a stretch.

    If Green goes over 40% FG% & Over 32% 3pt%
    Getting +15ppg this season

    I'd consider that a win.
Youre expectations are way too high.

People expecting him to be peak LeBron day 1 damn.

Exactly! Mobley played 8 more minutes and has a competent point guard.

So you're trying to blame KPJ for Green being terrible at basketball?

    Interesting strategy.

Lin fans used to blame Harden.

It's good to see that the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Well, then you're asking the question "if someone makes one or two mistakes, why would you ever trust them with a decision again?" You can criticize individual actions and still have trust in people. I don't think Morey was infallible, but I still liked him as a GM. I don't think Sam Presti is infallible, but he's a good GM and wouldn't mind if he ran our drafts, too. With Stone, it's a scenario of postives outweighing negatives or ... too new to judge.

Firstly, I don't know if drafting Green over Mobley was a "mistake" yet. Secondly, I don't expect GM's to be infallible, so if I do come to the conclusion that *gasp* Stone made a mistake, it doesn't mean I won't trust him to make another decision along the same lines in the future. This is especially since his decision wasn't an "off-the-wall" or "out of left field" decision in the basketball world. This team isn't the Kings yet. lol.

I'm sorry reading comprehension is difficult for you. Green and Mobley play totally different positions. Do you think Mobley would have had the game he had with KPJ as his point guard?

Yes. Mobley scored most of his points on his own....and was a better passer than anyone but Sengun on the Rockets while doing it.

Plus, his primary benefit to teams is on defense.....you know, the thing Green can't even play at a high school level.

When a guy everyone was trying to call the next MJ or Kobe comes in shooting 4-14 looking like absolute garbage on both ends of the court, blaming others is kind of hilarious.

Lol Mobley had 6 assists so he was actually a better PG than any of our two so-called ones. Self own

He looks fine offensively to me - I mean for a 19 year old rookie who is raw. His defense is horrid though

not saying he’ll ever be close to Harden, just that it wouldn’t hurt to work out with him during the summer

    You have my sympathies.
    Yes.

Mobley is a skilled 2 way player.

What does who your PG is, have to do with rebounds, assists, blocks and steals?

Do you realize how ridiculous and desperate your stance is?

And Mobley's coach is JBB, who sane Rockets fans can all agree is not an elite HC.

Maybe not even an average HC.

Agreed 100% and my post was more for the “Mobley had a good game so that means Green is a bust or “we” made a mistake in drafting Green” crowd. I am in the group that would like to see more than just one game from Green before we completely write him off or deem that the “experiment is over”. It could very well end up that BOTH Green and Mobley turn into All-Stars or BOTH end up underwhelming but we can’t just base it off of one damn game or just have some kind of buyer’s remorse any time a rookie we passed up on has a good game.

I'm gonna go ahead and guarantee he'll never be as good as Harden. And that's not an anti-Green comment; it's an acknowledgement of Harden's all-time greatness.

When you're feeling bad about Jalen Green, just remember it took Trae Young a few years to get good and get on the same level of Luka.
