Silas is not a coach, he’s a life mentor coach.

Hey now, he's proven to be an acceptable coach if your team's goal is to be forever stranded in that below average field with no hope of ever making it to the playoffs. Let's hope Silas can get us into that below average range during his tenure here.

Damn you guys are harsh on Silas..last season some of yall wanted him out and now first game of this season coaching rookies and young players and yall want him out already. Stuff takes time man, Russ and KD went 23-59 and ended up getting Harden. Gotta stay patient in the process.

So you're saying we shouldn't be harsh on Silas because his coaching will eventually lead us to another high lottery pick?

lol Hey i wouldn't mind getting Banchero...no but if they look like this by game #70 with no improvement or even look worse months later then I will have some concerns for sure. I get it, the losses can be deflating, but I am willing to be patient and see if the rookies and young guys develop and get better throughout the season.

Everytime I see the name Banchero I want texmex. But to your point yea sucking this year is a given and the hope is that we hit the lottery again but, from a coaching POV, I am expecting Silas runs something easy for these young kids to work with. I don't care if they run the PnR all game; at least it's something to start the offense with.

I don’t understand why you would think Silas would have an offensive system implemented. John Wall was benched for the season as the off-season was ramping up and putting KPJ in charge as the starting point guard.

So much is to be determined….

My first inclination too, but then it would be deemed "political"

In seriousness - this is all quantifiable information. If there's a correlation here you should be able to spot it.

My take is that it's all bullshit unitl proven otherwise - there's so many other factors involved in a team's ultimate success or failure that are way more predictive than "assistant coaching records" (like, having good players, e.g.?) that it's a really dumb thing to hang your hat on.

Hard to defend anyone after last night. That was trash basketball all around, and Silas definitely deserves part of the blame. I have very low expectations, but what they rolled out last night simply ain’t gonna cut it.

to finish out an important stretch in the 2nd quarter Silas had in Augustine, Gordon, Wood, and Theis... that is not a lineup promoting development and should have never been seen.

Trade Green for Doncic or even Ja Morant and the offense flows!
