STOCK MARKET: Let's talk stocks and investing

Between HX, HUDI, XYF, and others.... Chinese small caps are coming back with a vengeance. Whew!

 

In less than a month, up 1000% on no real news other a recent firing.
HX is a savage, lol.

 

Two that I missed in the last month that I was sure was going up was SOFI and BABA.
Grr.

 

I dumped BABA in the 200's on the way down and coincidentally bought SOFI a while back at around $15.xx. Unfortunately I never bought the other half of my position in SOFI. I hope I don't regret that like I did NFLX where I'm still sitting on my "half position" that I bought years ago. lol. I think I may stay out of BABA for now. I was in BABA since its IPO days but I'm scared to get back in because of the Chinese government smacking companies around and creating parity.

 

Ya. I had no plans on holding BABA long term but figured I can ride the "recovery" lol.
Same thought as you for chinese stocks....too much shenanigans by the govt.

@Rodman23 @whag00 Last year AMZN hired 100k seasonal workers. It's becoming clear that the logistics "issues" and inflation are due to surging demand. I trust AMZN's ACTIONS a lot more than ivory tower economists or hedge fund billionaires trying to spread FUD.

should IBKR. at expiration, close at

• 90, my CALL will be worth $10, and the PUT worthless. net profit, $10.10
• 85, my CALL will be worth $5, and the PUT worthless. net profit $5.10
• 80, my CALL will be worthless, and the PUT worthless net profit $0.10
• 75, my CALL will be worthless and the PUT worthless. net profit $0.10
• 70, my CALL will be worthless and the PUT worthless. net profit $0.10
• below 70, my CALL will be worthless and i will be obligated to buy the stock at $70 per share. net cost of the stock would be $69.90

My TWTR stock was down a bit on the SNAP news. I saw it dip and wondered what happened and that's when I saw SNAP got massacred.

 

Might add some FB tomorrow before Monday’s ER. I hate the company but the stock has never let me down…seems like a steal in the 320’s.
