Watching sportscenter and they led with the Braves/Dodgers game before going to a few basketball games. No Astros yet.
The 2019 Nats it was always about Scherzer and Strasberg. They rode those two as they should have and their hitters got hot and did just enough and it still came down to Howie Kendrick and a game 7. That’s why I don’t want to see the Dodgers (Scherzer) and I was scared of the White Sox since Giolito and Rodon killed the Stros before. Always give me the matchup of weaker pitching staff in the playoffs.
♪♪Our weak staff and your weak staff, sitting by the fire. Our hot bats told your weak staff, We're gonna set your house on fire♪♪
I missed the finale with the White Sox and recorded SportsCenter for the highlights. They were a solid 8 segments into the show, I think they covered Dodgers non-clinching win twice before getting to the Astros.
Man the Braves have been impressive. It should have already been over, 4-0 sweep. But half of y'all acting like the Braves have already clinched... Not so sure about that.
Sportscenter? What’s that? Gave up on the 4 letter network when they gave up on real reporting and integrity.
Can't believe I'm going to say this, but I'm going for the Braves. I still remember the 90's! Hope we stomp those fools if we advance too
He really has gotten to that point... you could see the annoyance in Pedro/Rollins/Granderson's face. Costas talking loud/fast and going on about some statistics from the 1982 Brewers-Cardinals WS. I know Costas just wants to stay in the game. He'll never be the #1 PBP guy again. Turner decided to go with him over Casey Stern (unfortunate story there) for the studio host gig... while Ernie Johnson tends to the NBA. Ernie is just on another level when it comes to hosting the panel. He can still say his piece, but usually lets the experts and the guys there to help educate/entertain do their thing. Costas, on the other hand, wanted to basically run the show... dictate the narrative... and the rest of those guys were just allowed to speak when prompted. At this point, Costas should probably stick to documentary interviews. Between him calling the game that Jim Kaat revealed his unknown racism and now these post-games, none of this is how you grow or endear the sport to younger fans.
