My sister just called me and told me that Dennis Rodman announced his offiical return to the NBA on this morning's episode of "The View", but would not specifically state which team.

Anyone else have info about this?

He said the same thing last year ... nobody wanted him. Hey, I'm 'returning' to the NBA too this year! Why not!

Yeah, I remember his stating that, that's why I asked my sister if he specifically mentioned a team and if he said "I'm planning to return to the NBA or I AM returning"

She said that he made it an "official comeback notice" to the media through "The View"

But it is Rodman, so who knows?

But I gotta wonder why the Bulls logo is next to his name. His last team was the Mavs, not the Bulls.

yeah, i posted this on the rockets thread, but, as you know, this board is populated heavily by know-it-alls and elitists, so they laughed at my post. it's why i post here so infrequently, even though i've been registered since its inception.

he announced that he's coming back, but he couldnt say the team. he did say it was not the knicks though.

He also once called a press conference and annoyed all the journalists by not actually having anything to announce. He's about the last news source I'd trust, even for his own news.

George Foreman is coming out of retirement, too. I remember back in the day, Wilt was talking about coming out of retirement about every year.

Can't wait to see Dennis play again. I don't know why everyone is so against him making a comeback. The Rockets could use a rebounder like him.

Can he even rebound 10 per game? Isn't he reaching 50yrs of age?

Maybe he's not returning as a player but a rebounding coach?

Maybe he can coach MoT. I wouldn't be surprised to see him teaching Eddy Curry how to rebound.

He said it on ESPNmotion that he's going to make a comeback. Said he was gonna hit the summer camps and wasn't sure which team would want him but he indicated he's a step slower but that's still better than what's in the NBA and he wants to go to a team that needs his defense and rebounding.

I figure hey if mark madsen can play in this game still. I'm sure rodman can to. He's a specialist so no reason to doubt that he couldn't. He basically be doing what malone does w/o the shooting. I think it's possible. ONly thing is...will he cause drama. Just keep him away from Houston. Then again his game at his best would be nice :)

Minnesota would be an interesting place for him to play. Spree, Sam, Wally and Garnett take all the shots anyway. Ervin Johnson doesn't score much, neither does Gary Trent or whoever plays PF for them. They need some experience, he would be niceo ff the bench for them.

I didn't read all the way through this thread, so someone else may have already asked this question. Can anyone actually sign with a team (or even talk with them) at this point in the year?
