There was a mention that Strom thought our starting pitchers were tipping their pitches. Would make sense since our starters were getting hammered while our "weakish" BP is keeping Boston in check.
Please don't give ESPN the dignity of clicks. Just send them back into their troll realm where they can piss and moan and nobody knows it. H-Town vs Everybody.
ESPN said that it had a 23% probability of being called a strike, so it usually isn't called a strike. The announcers are terrible. I'm glad I went to bed and tried not to stress about being down 2-1. It was a nice thing to wake up to at 5am.
On the baseball subreddit people seem to think they are slobbing on the Astros. Makes me wonder if they are getting different audio.
Correct, and let's all just gloss over the FACT that if Whitlock doesn't toss a first pitch meatball to Altuve BOS wouldn't be crying ABOUT one strike call. It's ludicrous.
What is that based on? I was definitely expecting the shitty ump to fire off the chainsaw at that moment, but before the catcher framed it, it did look a little high.
Castro yelling “Let’s go” to the dugout after that hit is one of my favorite baseball moments. I’ve pretty much never seen him express any emotion on the field, right after he went straight back to his stoic presence.
Lies. And damned lies. You and all the other hacks would be writing about Boston (probably) going up 3-1, series over. “Missed calls happen. Part of the game. 1 strike or 1 ball or 1 call does not affect the outcome!”
No he wouldn't have. Can he write about the Devers "walk" and subsequent home run? Those were the only runs Boston scored in the GAME.
