I got destroyed on this board for saying I’d rather have Caruso over westbrick lol especially considering the price tag. Westbrick is gonna destroy the lakers in the playoffs

the difference playing with Lebron is Russ will have to change his game. Everywhere Russ has been the whole franchise would move around him. I wonder how it will go.

The Lakers trading for Westbrook (instead of Hield!) is one of the most bizarre major moves I can recall a contending team making off hand.

I just can’t fathom what was/is ultimately envisioned with him on that roster.

Pelinka was a sports agent for most of his adult career. Him getting the GM gig was because he was Kobe's agent. Kobe dead now, so not like there's a Laker legend in his corner. and Magic hates Pelinka's guts.

AD going to Lakers was because of Lebron and also signed to Klutch Sports. Even with AD publicly saying he was going to leave, David Griffins still negotiated lot of assets out of him.

Pelinka pretty much lucked into his first championship. Guys like Pelinka and Rich Paul are cut from the same cloth.

Honestly watching them playing Rondo AND Westbrook in the same backcourt was something to see.

There was a time or two when Rondo was kicking it out to Westbrook and vice versa

Still no IQ for Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook is a hard worker on his fitness, but not in shooting skills or creating his own shot

There were times last night when it looked like he genuinely tried to avoid taking bad 3s...only to move in 5-8 feet for a mid range shot he had no business taking either. Like...don't you still have enough athleticism to take the ball right to the hole for a dunk or a layup? Are you trying to prove to yourself or your team or the NBA that you're more than just a dunker at this point in your life? Like embrace that part of your game.

    It didn't look great.

He will definitely have a great 15-20 game stretch and people will rally around that, because that's what he always does now. But their issues with his fit aren't going to go away.
