I suspected as such, looked like Glasnow’s game 5 start from 2019. Or Yu Darvish from 2017.

I was just on the phone with my dad talking about this. Someone is giving something away to their hitters, either Maldy or the pitcher, or even possibly the way the fielders position on certain pitches. Alex Cora is a genius at figuring out what a pitcher is doing regardless of the use of cameras, watches, etc., just by observing a pitcher’s mannerisms and movements.

Calling games hasn't been very effective the past 2 games.

If that is true, I hope they figured out what it is.

Man that would be like buying your wife new boobs only to have her run off with your hated rival.

I think they likely have something on multiple pitchers. It could be the slightest thing. Since this is a long series they’ve had plenty of time to study tape and figure it out. Our guys need to figure out what it is and reverse it.

The numbers that entire lineup is putting up are absurd. Something has to be going on.

Do not feel good at all tonight with Greinke. He’s been terrible at Fenway during his career.. could get shelled early and we’ll be in a deep hole again.. hoping for the best, preparing for the absolute worst.

Needs to give us 2 innings. Anymore is wishful thinking

Yeah - I just meant whomever Greinke wants catching is fine. Greinke's performance will be more important than whomever is hitting in the 9th hole at the start of the game.

Too bad Greinke can't hit instead of Maldanado. :)

Right now, Maldanado is an automatic out. Hopefully he gets 2 or 3 big hits tonight.

I can't decide if Framber being in the game would be good or bad. Presumably it means the game isn't a blow out and they're probably in a position to win the game. It's bad in that who would pitch Game 5 even if they win Game 4? Garcia on short rest? I think it would be bad.

Grabbed my clothes from game 1.. Threw them on. Drinking the same beer. It is time the Astros and their fans, do what they need to appease the baseball gods.

Goodluck tonight. Result doesn't matter. We are lucky to have the Astros. The golden era has ultimately been tremendous.

Or, our offense can start trying to see if the Red Sox pitchers have any tells.

Because the Red Sox pitching is suspect, I don't like the win at all costs approach should they toss Framber to close this out. It's not like we are facing a doomsday staff on the other side.

Kind of surprised Odorizzi is seen as a leader. I guess he has (very) different personality with teammates than he shows in interviews, or just in general appearance.

    It's still a good one.

Lose today and it's over in 5. Chris Sale in Fenway for a close out is GG, we've had success in the past against him but eventually he's going to dominate.

Historically, Rodriguez is terrible at home and against the Astros. He was pretty damn good last night. These historical trends are silly in the playoffs
