I don't know if i brought this up before but i know i had meant too . . . . is this some of the most vile bit of radio you ever heard for the out of towners - This station will get calls from someone who thinks their significant other is cheating . . .so what they do is . . .call the 'alledged' cheater and offer them a set of roses to be sent to whoever to see if they chose their mate or their cheesecake on the side. . . . this is kind of entrapment and generally I'd break up with anyone woman that did this to me.. . . even if i ''chose' correctly". I like cheaters . . but that is just surveliance I dunno . . i just think it is wrong Rocket River nope. . . never been on the show . .
I see you point RR but the women that call in and request the "war of the roses" usually has some suspicion that the man is already cheating. So he had most likley either been caught in some untruths and just out and out lies. But if nothing like that had happened and my women still did this, I would be very upset. I was listening one time when they called the man to get his answer on the roses and the "other" women answered the phone in his hotel room....funny but sad as well.
I think this bit is staged. The ones that I have heard have all been very suspect and outlandish. What idiot in his right mind hasnt heard of this prank anyway (especially if you cheat) and wouldn't know who to send them to?
There's no better way to confront a potentially cheating spouce or significant other than through the mass media. God knows it always works out for the people on cheaters, Jerry Springer, Jenny Jones...
Has anyone seen that show Cheaters on KNWS after a Rockets game?? Don't know quite what to think about that show.................
seriously...when you have any problem...but particularly a relationship problem....screw sitting down and engaging in real conversation. take it to the mass media. now that, my friends...is wisdom!
That Cheaters show is produced and shot here in Dallas. I watch it sometimes just to see places that I recognize. They busted some guy out in the parking lot of Town East Mall a couple of weeks ago. You could see the Shepler's and the Garden Ridge in the background.
I heard War of the Roses last week where this dude suspected his girl on cheating with someone who joined in for a threesome a while ago. And he was right. I found it funny, in a weird way.
I was happy when the host's character got killed in The Day After Tomorrow. I let out an involuntary cheer.
Some news show did an expose' on Cheaters and reported that many of the stories were faked and staged by actors.
If your girl puts you on War of the Roses...and you aren't cheating...send the flowers to her sister anyway...Imagine the havoc.
Found it. Entire article here http://www.houstonpress.com/issues/2002-10-17/news.html But five twentysomethings say investigator Danny Gomez paid them $400 to act out phony scenarios that were presented as real on the show. They say they've sent many other people to Gomez at $50 per referral. Fake footage has been aired hundreds of times. Host Tommy Grand even brought some with him on a recent Maury appearance.
The explanation I heard for this was that many of the cheaters refuse to sign a release allowing the show to use their image, so they have to re-enact the scenario. I don't know if that's really true, but it sounds plausible to me. In a related note, A-Rod was recently Punk'd by Ashton Kutcher, but refused to sign a release, so the episode will never see the light of day. I heard about this on the radio, but I can't find a link that looks official enough to post.
