Baseball fans love extrapolating from small sample sizes, since that's all we have in most cases :)

    g c lk,
"A million dollar pitcher"? There was no million dollar starter in the 1st 3 games and that was the problem.

I would stick to the R/L alternating lineup for the most part but move Tucker up to the 3 hole. I would go Altuve, Bregman, Tucker, Correa, Alvarez, Yuli, Brantley, McCormick, Castro. If 7-8-9 have a good night your gonna put a lot of guys on base for the top and if not then you still have two good hitters in front of Tucker to get on. I want him getting the most rbi chances right now, kind of like how JD Martinez seems to have guys on base every at bat.

Got them right where we want them.

Lull them into a false sense of security.

Everyone is selling Zach short .

dude is gonna go 5 strong tonight

his arm may be hurting , but I have it on good authority that his mind game has advanced to the point where he can command the wind to move the ball for him .

expect unhittable nastiness and psychological warfare that should be outlawed by the Geneva convention

Urquidy did a throw a strike on that 3-0 pitch with the bases loaded. Didn't work out that well.

More seriously, for Garcia and Urquidy - their stuff in the zone wasn't fooling anyone and they weren't getting help on close pitches from the umps. Sox hitters didn't have to expand their zones and could just wait on stuff to hit. Valdez and McCullers can get away with that better on nights they are off since they can generate so many ground balls.

yes . I also think Garcia and Urquidy are better than what they performed... but for whatever reason and whichever factors ... just both shat the bed .

Garcia couldn’t find the zone . Kiddy seemed
Like he had OK location , but the sequencing didn’t work .

I think Martin/ whoever calls the pitches has been off their game . And our pitchers haven’t executed perfectly either ..

I just want Zach to call his own game tonight. Martin can help with superior framing . we can hope the umpire is consistent .

but you’re right that lance and framber have superior stuff . Garcia DID have that in his cutter earlier in the year , but he won’t get that back till next season imo . Kiddy has to use the change and rely on being tricky .

Zach is an interesting case . I’ll enjoy watching to see what he can bring tonight . He might be better off throwing the change slower than he normally does .

Random but I had a dream that Dusty moved Tucker to the 3 hole. Never have dreams about this stuff. Dream also benched Bregman for Diaz lol.

Never though I'd see the day where Greinke vs Pivetta is viewed like we are pitching Mike Fiers. It's Pivetta and IDC how good he's been... he's Nicky P and this offense has no excuses. Up to Dusty to move your best hitter, Tucker, to the 3 hole and Correa backing him up.

    OR

    Altuve
    Tucker
    Correa
    Alvarez
    Bregman
    Brantley
    Gurriel
    McCormick
    Castro

If this is the end of the season, and the Astros do not sign Correa, I hope he goes to the Yankees. I'd love to see how they try to spin the narrative and try to convince the world and themselves that they are not hypocrites.
