Many open looks - lots of missed shots - layups and such. A lot of players not knowing how to read the defense which just comes with time and experience.

They get blocked a lot, make bad passes - it's just a fact of not knowing how good NBA players are defensively.

Thank goodness fans like you don't run the team, you'd make us a perennial 8th seed

Last I checked 8th seed doesn't get you anything other than a first round exit. Last place gets you a pretty damn good pick.

Look, you can keep calling people names when they call you out, but all you are doing is making an ass out of yourself. If you need to get your frustrations out, go hit a punching bag. Heck, go outside and scream at the top of your lungs. But don't make an ass out of yourself on the internet.

I like 5 out but we are running 5 out and camp there without driving, setting picks, and passing

Try watching the game and not looking at the box score.

Is it possible he is letting young guns try it their way and fail, to basically get it out of their system? Or have I been smoking too much tonight. Feeling generous...

Smoking too much. I'm nervous about Silas. I keep singing this 42 game tune, but I haven't been a fan thus far.

I’m just looking for the Rockets to take small incremental steps at becoming better both individually and in the team concept. If by mid-year they are looking better individually, but no better at team ball then Silas should be on the way out. I am a proponent for patience with this team and this coach, but progress needs to be apparent. Giving up significant assets for a veteran playmaker at this point to get to mediocrity while we own our next 2 picks just doesn’t make much sense. Re-building is just that. It won’t take place over the course of one season.

But what in his point? To start trying to make the playoffs with a bunch of kids who are missing critical skills and experience? That makes no sense.

Instead, develop the players and get another high pick. That's what makes sense. We aren't winning anything this year or next year or the year after. The next 3 years are all developmental.

There isn't a formula for building a championship team, but one thing you don't do is bank on 19-21 year olds to get you there in a year or two. Develop the players and the wins will come naturally. Try to squeeze as many wins as you can, and you stunt development and actually hurt chemistry and long term potential of success.
