Note to Silas and the Rockets: Don’t waste your time starting Theis. He has little athletic ability and doesn’t fit out there with the starters. Both Theis and House are “backup” material and need to play their roles effectively for this team to compete (even if it means placing inexperienced Sengun ahead in the lineup pecking order).

We are not trying to compete, so there is very little point to this conversation.

That essentially what Boston said last season at the year line and Chicago fans echoed it afterward.

I said when we were in discussions about him that I rather have Olynyk back if the differnces is only 3 million a year. We saw Olynyk actually make Silas’ so call offense system work. He was our best facilitator last year afte harden left and it wasn’t close. I jsut didn’t see the fit with theis. Theis is a player whose big on trust and I can see that there’s nobody on the floor he trust as a teammate on defense and for good reason.

House a backup? HOUSE? House needs to be waived or traded, I still don't know what he does.

I know you're saying he needs to co.e off the bench but I'm saying he needs to be let go. He's just that bad

Theis is a backup center, House needs to be traded or cut and.......RESTUCTURE WALL CONTRACT FOR additional YEAR.....Start Wall and place Porter on the bench and mid season trade Wall if Porter is not ready then...trade him

Your thoughts about Theis was good but House can't even be a backup. Not even close.

Theis not really in the mix yet. People be hatin hard on him early. He will be a 10-6rpg guy which is what hes getting paid to do. Defensive guy who can change shots around the rim. He was not brought here to be offensive center. Sengun is that guy, who will develop into that.

75% of this roster is not starting material on a good NBA team, what's your point?

He’s had a decent career. As one person said, a good game for him is 10 points, 6 rebounds. Sengun scored 15-13 last game. Not sure if Theis ever scored over 20 points in a game in his career. What in mary haybells are we doing with him in our starting lineup. He’s nothing special defensively as he is slow and unathletic. Again….fine player as a backup, but definitely not starting material.

Theis as a starter and House in the rotation are emblematic of a team that will have a very high draft pick next year… trust the process ;)

Theis is really good at one thing, clanking the ball on the front end of the rim on a 3pt attempt.

And by 75% you mean 100%??

Do we honestly have a guy who is better than a marginal starter for a playoff team?

I'm happy this year to see some development and improvement in who we have.

The rockets preseason was so vague that we do not even know what to expect. But one thing is certain the Rockets will not compete. And House's presence makes no sense for this team. I rather see more of Tate, Nwaba and Garuba over House.

So funny that Houston fans complained about Harden when he was here, now that he's gone every 10 ppg role player sis expected to be the star. rookies are expected to average 30 ppg if they dont BUST lol sad sad houston fandom.

Never complained about Harden so your garble makes zero sense. Fans don’t want a 8-10 point role player as a starter….PERIOD!!!

Theis derives from the Hebrew name “Mattithyâh / Mattithyâhû”, transliterated into Greek as "Mattathías (Ματταθίας)”, which was shortened to "Matthaíos (Ματθαῖος)”, meaning “gift of the gods”.

Well we seen probably the best rockets will get with Harden, even if green and porter are like pretty good. There not going to be the splash bro's are anything, like how warriors team was. Maybe Splash bros light lol, might not even get to the playoffs, just be a mediore team who can beat you on some nights good. You could see few years of 34-48 seasons.

Nobody knows if this team will even be the future either, things might blow up fast, firing coaches, trading young players for vets. Who knows what happens.
