I'm getting a new vehicle and need to add some accessories. I'd like to get some recommendations from you guys on reputable places, and if available, competent techs around town.

Here's what I'm adding, please offer reference if you have one.

    Clifford RSX 3.5 alarm
    Daystar lift kit
    Line-X bed liner
    Hood bug shield
Window tint (place that will give me a little more than what is legal)

    Thanks in advance!

I'll get those Behad, and I'll park my beast in your driveway blasting those audio clips in 'da mornin.' See how funny it is then!

I had my most recent line-x done here:

    Line-X of Friendswood
    4542 FM 2351, Suite B
    Friendswood, TX
    Call: 281-648-5463
    linexoffriendswood@hotmail.com

They did a great job. I saw some accessories in stock, but I don't remember what they had in terms of lift kits.

    Pole,

    IYDMMA,

How much did that run you? IIRC, you bought the same truck I'm getting. An '04 or '05 F-150.

I think it was $350 (under the rail).

I was going to get the F150 (I loved it!), but they had just come out, and they just weren't dealing on the price as well as I would have liked. They even sent me home in one, and I drove it to work the next day. I went back to the dealer at lunchtime--ostensibly to purhcase the F150 I was driving--and ended up with an F250 instead. And it's sweet! Diesel, CC, 4X4, King Ranch....only thing I missed out on was a sunroof.

It certainly doesn't drive as well as the F150, but I know how well they hold their value (especially the diesel), so I've had no buyer's remorse whatsoever.

Still......I'd be VERY happy to drive that new F150

    Thanks for the info.

Sounds like you got an awesome truck! I love the King Ranch. Have you seen the 2005 King Ranch? Wow.

    '05 King Ranch

Get ready to wipe the drool from your keyboard!

As for the '04 F-150, it is the best new truck out there right now. Until the '05 KR that is. I went to Nissan to pick up my friend, and this salesman told me I should get the Titan. I told him no offense, but I wouldn't be caught dead in a Nissan Titan. There have been some minor issues w/ the '04 that have been worked out. Hesitation, read end noise, steering wheel nibbling. All have been fixed with a simple flash upgrade.

I'm getting the Lariat, but still undecided about the moonroof ($800!), and the power rear sliding window.

I'll post a pic when I get it.

Last time I bump this thread -- I promise!

How about just a reputable alarm installer?

for an alarm you could try a flee market and find one of the car audio places. alot of them do alarms and you could probley work out a deal with em.

As for tint, try spring branch there are alot over there. and its like there ghetto enough to go over the law, but nice enough to do a gob job, if that makes any sence:D. One of my friends got it done over there

You could try Car Toys. I believe they do alarms too. I my new system (subs, stereo etc.) installed by them last summer.
