I agree. Devers walking really showed the Red Sox that he was scared to throw a strike.

Remember when the 2017 World Series Champion Houston Astros were down 4-0 to the Dodgers in the 4th inning of Game 5?

    Pepperidge Farm remembers.

We don’t have playoff caliber starting pitching right now.

Could be worse. Boston could still put up runs.

Maybe. But if you're EVER gonna give the kid a start in the ALCS, best opportunity is game 2 at home vs. the next 3 on the road. I'm thinking they were saving Greinke for Boston although I understand they've named Urquidy the Game 3 starter.

I think Dusty should pull a LaRussa and protest this game. I think JD cheated on that HR play swinging harder than necessary like he wanted to hit a HR. Poor sportsmanship in the 1st inning as you're supposed to keep the game close to attract viewers.

That dude can’t do anything wrong. I’m frankly surprised that he didn’t get a hit in the 1st inning.

I dunno about scared, but Garcia and Urquidy and Odorizzi make me more of a believer in the use of an "opener".

Garcia's problem today is that he has no ****ing clue where the baseball is going from pitch to pitch.

The first pitch was a foot high. Erratic. Someone needed to settle him right there. Same thing happened to the Sawamara last night, he was wild out of the gate and they should have calmed him down or yanked 'em.
