need to prepare his players, make sure they practice and make sure they are psychologically prepared and calmed down to make them...
ITS ON HIM....if a coach is a calming presence and a charismatic leader his players will hit them!

 

If I have to sit through a horror-flick of a season, I want a top-2 pick, not just a lotto pick.

 

and need to make them responsible, if hed sit them for missing them youd see them hitting it at a better rate....

The way they played from game 1 to 4 of pre season, don't tell me these kids have been coached. Wasted preseason. Seen a lot of one on one ball. Poor shot selection. No effort defensively for all pre season games. Only game with semblance of NBA level talent was game one and only bcse tough shots went in. It's on coaching

 

we already have top 2 pick its called john wall and rockets sat him for the season because turns out it doesnt do you any good to be top 2 pick if you cant really play quality basketball

 

Sengun can win ROY if he starts. He's good enough to average a double-double with starter minutes.

 

They are kids guys, there will be plenty of games like this with growing pains.

This is what developing the young guys looks like.

This isn't coaching, his job is to put them in positions to get open looks. But its on the players to convert.

 

turns out an undrafted guy and pick no 16 are better players than top 2 picks

 

Just not going to be able to finish like he did in Turkish League.

 

ITS ON COACHING

he needs to make sure they practice enough and make them accountable, sit them or punish them, or work more with them or whatever
its on coaching!

There is no harden drama, no covid drama, he is not a rookie coach anymore, whats his excuse now?

 

KPJ and Green being humbled is likely the best thing for their career development. Just saying.

 

KPJ is entering his 3rd season while Green hasn't even played a real NBA game yet. KPJ should be worlds smarter than Green right now.

 

He's got less than a full season worth of NBA experience and is about a year and a half older. Also, he is worlds smarter than Green right now. If Green was the primary ball handler tonight, he'd have a LOT more than one turnover.

 

Porter and Green can be like murray and white in a few years.

 

i think he will... hes playing in short spurts and as soon as he catches any rhythm hes being taken out... this game would of been completely different if silas didnt take him out every time he was starting to get into rhythm

You're overreacting to a horrible 1st half where only Wood did not forget how to play ball.

I blame that clusterfvck on Silas, the Rockets looked absolutely confused and lethargic to start game.

 

Dont know which Murray and White you are referencing but they're obviously not NBA players.

This duo does not fit.

 

I saw some positive things from everyone less House tonight. Green’s 3rd quarter was amazing. Sengun is just solid
Wood’s stats
Porter is a difference make when he attacks the game. He is like a light switch, off or on.

coaching
rotation is still a work in process. BUT Sengun needs to be a big part of it.
Green’s 3rd quart gives me hope.

Porter at his best when playing 2 man game with Sengun or Wood.

Green too.

They both play better when other is off floor or not involved.

Crazy, considering how much they lobbied to play together.

Mobley and Porter would have been much more complementary IMO.
