Seems a little high. Here's the most expensive model from Costco...

    https://www.costco.com/ove-decors-orlando-60"-shower-door.product.100469195.html

That's only 60 inches. Even their 72 inch model is waaaay cheaper. But I don't think Costco includes installation costs. Not sure how prevalent 80 inch doors are...maybe it's considered a specialty item and therein lies some of the extra cost. Plus...installation of those things might be tough. Maybe others on here can weigh in on that.

You’re paying for labor so it sounds about right. Inflation + supply shortages + labor shortages = the consumer is ****ed.

Back around 2014 or 2015, I had my shower stall glass and frame replaced by a company for something like $1200. It was a "pseudo frameless" install. No hardware was replaced. That probably would run closer to $2k nowadays I'm guessing, but I'm not sure. Even if you're paying too much, I don't think it's too much by too much.

Just make sure you get someone who knows what they're doing and not just looking for the cheapest install. I had a co-worker do something similar for "cheap" and over $4000-$5000 later, he finally got it done right by someone else.

The only way to really find out is if you get 3-5 quotes. There are outfits out there where that's all they do (replace shower doors, glass, etc.), so I'd probably go with one of those instead of your run-of-the-mill handyman, for example, even if it means paying a bit more.
