The little we saw of Foster in SL was really not memorable.

Justin Anderson made more of an impact.

If you think Wood and Simmons are even remotely on the same plane as it pertains to skill, defensive ability and intelligence....geez.

Feigen said something about the Rockets not being able to offer Sekou a two-way contract. That was news to me, so I’ll need to look into that more. But they couldn’t FORCE him to sign here over the Lakers, so it’s a moot point.

Yes, they can still cut Nix/Lamb/Bey and get their affiliate player rights for the Vipers.
I think another G-League team has returning player rights to Justin Anderson (which trump affiliate player rights), so signing him would be useless for the Rockets.

My understanding is that the Lakers signed Sekou to a duel contract.

it must be some obscure rule preventing the Rockets (direct trade?)

Sweet, we finally signed Armoni Brooks.

    I'm good for now.

Really love what I’ve seen from him in summer League and preseason.

Don’t confuse young with dumb. I see really smart future players in Garuba, Christopher, Tate and possibly KJ.

What do you mean, they "finally signed" Brooks? They signed him to an Exhibit 10 contract a month or so ago for this EXACT reason! I'm 90%+ sure they always intended to convert him to a two-way contract. Maybe a trade could've cleared up a spot for him on the 15-man roster, but absent that, this was ALWAYS the plan, IMO.

I know that if Rockets either stretched the cap hit, or if Sekou agreed to reduce the salary owed they cannot sign him back... Not sure if either of these took place, and if there was any reason for that to happen...

Would be great to have that type of influence (CP3) on these rookies .... but Simmons aint the guy I'd pick to "mentor" anyone .... He's got his own problems.

I think Wall , CP3 & Augustin are good influences - while they are here.

Theis has been "Big Brother" & Nwaba "Uncle Dave" to these young kids.

They are in good hands for the time being.

Yep. I always thought that contract was coming, just later in the season (like after the trade deadline).

The Rockets will now need to waive a guaranteed contract (or Exum) or make a trade to clear up the final 15-man roster.

So bottomline is: Lamb and one of Foster/Nix are the two-ways. My money is on Nix.
One guaranteed (I incl. Exum here even though he's not) is waived, if no trade. My money is on House.

Neither Nix, Lamb or Foster should be our 2 ways.

There has to be better talent available after final cut downs.

Didn't realize Exum was not guaranteed. Must be him to be waived. Doubtful all those guys would be at practice if a trade had materialized.

I think the NG was put in as injury protection. I doubt they'll cut the guy if he's healthy...
