We need continuity/flow out there, and KPjr needs the ball in his hands so HE can grow out top. JG takes away from both right now. Jalen will get there, but for now it needs to be this way. Besides we need to showcase Eric a bit before he's shipped.
Did you really suggest Eric Gordon, continuity and showcasing in three sentences? Dude can't stay healthy long enough to play a homestand. This team sucks and the only good thing that can come out of this season is the young guys getting reps.
I'm not saying JG won't get a ton of minutes, but for the reasons stated it will be in the long term interest of the team...just for now.
KPJr is leading the team in shot attempts so far this preseason taking 13 shots a game in 28 minutes he also has the highest usage but nah, that’s not enough…somehow bonehead EG who is nothing but a chucker will help KPJr grow… What continuity and flow does EG have with KPJr? They haven’t even played 10 minutes together.
But you cannot suggest Gordon and continuity Gordon has had 1 request his whole tenure here and that's a defined role. Having him come off the bench makes it easier for everyone to adjust when he's out for whatever boo boo he has. You cannot have him as your starting 2 guard because you will inevitably be missing him for at least 20 games a season. That will hurt the role of Jalen where he will be in and out of the starting 5 when Eric decides to play through pain. I'm a fan of Eric but he just isn't going to be healthy here ever again. It sucks but this team has a bad medical staff who can't seem to keep guys on the court.
No. It's in the long term interest, and if you think that's preposterous, too bad. You want these guys to grow in the right way... I said this before the preseason...Give KPjr the ball for now, and some guys that will play off of him the best. Get that offensive flow and confidence going. JG will get there, but for now...I'm also for starting Sengun over Theis.
EG doesn't need the ball in his hands so much to be effective...and he plays both ways. All this helps KPjr develop...it's a crucial time for him.
What you’re saying makes literally no sense. He already has the highest usage rate on the team with Green starting at the 2. Developing chemistry with Green is far more important to the “future” of this team than KPJ taking a shot or two more a game.
all EG does is chuck…he has no court vision or awareness, and is a black hole on offense EG isn’t helping anyone develop KPJr is the taking the most shots and has the highest usage, so all this talk of him not having the ball isn’t reality U want him to have James Harden usage or something?
It's about having a veteran next to him for awhile, who can knock down shots without needing the ball in his hands, and play both ways on D. KPjr needs to have some kind of flow around him.
