Oddly enough what I am listening to right now is very similar to Manny's first post on this thread a billion years ago - I'm seeing Genesis in December so have been streaming their work for about 10 days to refamiliarize. So much good stuff. (And some lame stuff)
The funny thing is if I go back to the original post, there are so many artists that I didn't even know about: Sparks Boris Sweep the Leg Johnny Pretty much all of the RPI (Rock Progressivo Italiano) artists Just to name a few Oh and I do have Genesis currently on the iPod right now!
There's something about Hosono's vocals of which I'm a fan. Hosono with his Al Kooperish organ playing
That group is actually pretty amazing for being so "unknown". They wrote 2 or 3 of Whitney Houston's biggest hits and that song was passed up on by a few of the bigger acts of the day including Whitney Houston. I always loved that song. Still do.
Yea, I think they wrote "How Will I Know" which is my all-time favorite Whitney Houston song. Every morning when I leave my apartment, I leave our dogs out and tell the Alexa to play '80s dance music and inevitably that song (Waiting for a Star to Fall) is always played along with " Pump Up the Jam", "Head to Toe" and "She Drives Me Crazy". boomboom was talking about earworm songs and I feel that Waiting for a Star to Fall is one of those. So not saying it is a bad song but just can't get it out of my head!
