I’m pretty sure Stanek was pulled to keep him available for tomorrow. With the only lefty on the Sox due up, I think he was hoping to get lucky without needing to burn Graveman or Pressly. Once he was in and didn’t get out of the inning I think Raley was going to keep pitching even if he gave up 10 more runs.
