Greinke can probably go 2… and maybe into a third if he starts it off clean. He threw plenty of pitches that inning, and since he came in with guys on, high stress pitches. Not sure why this is even an issue. Javier held the top of the lineup down and has overall stabilized a very unstable situation. Since Javier hasn’t pitched in back to back games all year, he was never going to be available for tomorrow if they limited his usage. Ditto Greinke.
The worst thing about today is we wasted Javier on a day when the Astros have already checked out and unsure Greinke will go tomorrow on a back-to-back. Looks like we are setting up for Game #5
Dusty's decision to bring in Yimmi is a head scratcher . This guy should be pitching batting practice. Dusty's pitching rotation decisions are pitiful.
?? You’re allowed to make changes in between series. You’re also allowed to make changes within the series if somebody gets hurt.
This ump is something else. He’s let this game go off the rails by having no clue what a strike zone is or keeping his composure. F this guy, let’s get em tomorrow.
They better win tomorrow. I don't want a game 5. Is Rodon pitching tomorrow? If yes and they win, I don't want them to use Rodon as a feel good story(if he pitches well) to propel them to series comeback win. I'll miss the game like games 1 and 2 and they won but on the verge of losing tonight when I watch. Hopefully for me, not being able to watch gives them a W.
If you saw the tweet about his “accuracy” being bad all year, he’s pretty much been his standard self. The real problem is a system (the MLB umpires union) that wants guys in the high profile game based on tenure/longevity vs. actually being good at their job.
