Corral is putting on a show against what was supposed to be a good Arkansas defense

Casey Thompson isn't looking good himself. Has good pedigree himself with dad being ex-Sooner Charles Thompson (minus the drug case).

Matt Corral has jumped ahead of Malik in my 2 quarterback board.
Shame that Rattler turned to a pumpkin wanted Atlanta to take him so that those other two would drop. stock crashed.

I like Corral skillset, arm, legs and competitiveness is what you want. But he is undersized, depending on his real height and weight

If it was the 2011 NFL that would definitely be a concern. Unless the brass is dead set on the Tom Brady specimen. 6'5 dad bod

Height in the pocket, even when you have mobility is important. Short QBs, even athletic ones aren’t overly successful more often than not.
If he’s 6’2 like college lists then it’s not too big of a deal, the more important stay would be weight. He’s very physical but is a little light in the pants to be going at pros head up.

It definitely helps to be able to see over the OLine.

I see what you guys see when it comes to Corral. He may be the one to draft. I like Willis and B. Young too though.

I think Willis and Corral are similar type players. Dynamic.
Willis with a little more speed.
Corral with a little better arm talent.

About same size. But one is playing against SEC defenses.

Willis did have 3 picks against Middle Tennessee State.

Great athlete for sure. Arm talent is just not there outside of strength.
Corral is a freak as well, with stronger arm and accuracy.
It will come down to these two if we go QB. Corral gives you 75% of the running ability with quite a bit more in terms of arm talent and quarterbacking ability

I still like Willis over Corral. More dynamic player. Corral throws a lot of the same two or three routes. Slants, hitches and bubbles, all day.

Corral is far more dynamic with his arm. And not too far off as a runner.

Disagree on both accounts. I just don't see it. Corral is a decent runner but isn't in the same stratosphere as Willis. Willis is far closer to Corral as a passer than Corral is to Willis as a runner.

In fact, I think they're fairly neck and neck in a talent. I know you disagree with this.

Yeah, I disagree. As do most scouts. Corral arm is in another league when compared to Willis.
Corral leads the SEC in rushing TDs, Willis is throwing 3 picks to Middle Tennessee.

Willis has a little more speed than Corral, I’d be willing to bet it’s not much different in 3 cone and shuttle times.

And when I say arm talent, that doesn’t mean arm strength. It’s the total package. Willis arm is strong, not as strong as Corral but still strong.
Corral has more zip, better placement, better accuracy and both can throw on the run with ease.
