I hope he didn't learn offensive strategies from his dad because all of his teams were either very bad to mediocre on offense.
Like D'Antoni liked to say, it's not about Small Ball - its Skill Ball. If player is skilled, it doesnt matter. Gotta get idea of small and big out of his head. Get your best 5 the most minutes.
You can rag on me but you dont need to disparage Lucas. Lucas is not just a Rockets legend, he is revered throughout NBA and even NFL for his help with troubled players. Not everything is a joke.
Much like Harden developed counters to everything defenses through at him, I believe Sengun can do much the same with his BBIQ in the post. It may take a few seasons, just like Scola who became very skilled over the years because of his BBIQ.
This dude doesn’t have an NBA body yet, but he is outsmarting more experienced players easily. Signs for him are so good, his athleticism will improve. Shouldn’t get bulky but needs to add some muscle to his frame for sure. Plays like he’s one of the most experienced players on the court for this young team.
He’s got league average vertical, not really below average at anything. Average at best on top speed. Seems to have good feet, decent lateral movement, moves quick laterally and gets off the floor quickly. Just not elite height or explosiveness. He makes up for average to decent athleticism with timing and IQ. Similar to Draymond
If he puts in the work in the weight room and conditioning program he could be solid all around. Specially on endurance
Sengun should be promoted into primary playmaker, it would be easier for everyone to score and easier job for KPJ to playmake off of sengun
No doubt he should start. I'm hoping Silas is just helping him get used to the speed and into game shape right now.
I really hope we get to see some Tate/Sengun PnR. Tate was really effective in PnR sets last year and Sengun sets great screens. I could see Sengun;s passing getting tons of hockey assists out this arrangement.
I just want to see Tate and Sengun in the game at the same time. Two of the few guys on the team that makes the right play consistently.
