Game 2 analysis: We looked awful. Wall will never rejoin the team with us playing like this. Fire Silas, blow it up, rebuild around House.

This is how it looks when you build your highway around a house.

Can't wait. All we need is to play him as our starting small ball center and this is a FOR SURE playoff team.

    Game 2 hot/bad takes
    • As bad as we are from FT, the Heat were somehow worse! (69.7% vs 67.9%)
    • Sengun is our best passer
    • JVG would rather lose and go home on time than challenge
    • JVG hates anti-vaxxers
    • JayGup has already replaced Ego
    • Wood thinks he is Melo
    • We are still not a good 3pt shooting team
    • Garuba and Nwaba should be linebackers in the NFL instead

Long term it seems like one of the two is eventually going to need to be moved.

i wish we have a tech to merge garuba and sengun in one body. That would be steal of the NBA history.

Both of them CAN be good eventually. Green needs to put on quite a bit of muscle though so NBA players can't just bump him off. KPJ just needs to be a LOT more disciplined on D.

Miami's a legit contender in the East...a defensive beast. Folks need to keep that in mind. We'll rarely see defense like this.

We're comprised of a bunch of kids...kids that are going to be VERY good in a few years.

Green looked a lot better tonight....across the board. Flashes of what's coming.

Spearheaded by Kyle, and Bam.. the Heat locked us up. They shut down the paint and relegated us to being three point shooters. Again, though, it was men against boys.

    Herro looked really, really good....

    Not digging CW's attitude/body language....or his play.

    House needs to go.

They definitely can be and it could work out. I'd bet against it though.

I think most of us do know that Miami is a very good team. The displeasure is with what you said above: Wood's body language and play and House. Mistakes, turnovers, and bad shooting is a part of the growing process with these young players but to have two of your "vets" play like ass is rather disappointing.

Guys that need to be cut: Exum, Lamb, Augustin.

    Trade House, Nwaba

Players that need time in the G League: Garuba, Bey, and Nix, probably Christopher

Needed: A coach that can teach the players how to play defense

Observation: Porter Jr is a scoring guard, not much of a pg. Way too many missed opportunities to set up other players for easy buckets. The Brooks kid can shoot. He's a keeper.

Miami beating us is not what annoys me. I expected them to win. They are a contender, while we are... well, it remains to be seen, but most likely bad. Wood really disappointed me this game. He was trying to force things 1v1 today and reacted poorly when it didn't work. Bad team to force things against as well. The atrocious FT shooting really bothers me though and Miami D has nothing to do with that. I am waiting to see what our D ends up like as the season closes. Right now we are 90% pure effort, 9% intelligence (coming purely from Tate, Sengun, Nwaba, Garuba, Theis, and sometimes JayGup),1% discipline, and 100% garbage. This will be my primary concern going forward, what kind of defensive identity do we try to develop as a team. House... I was never as high on House as some were, but I still think he can help, just in controlled usage.

game 2 hot takes: Jamal Crawford with hops played better today, and KPJr looked like Monta Ellis with an afro

I have no faith in Christian…do not offer an extension or re-sign this off-brand Nikola Vucevic

I agree. You want your vets to set the tone, be an example of how to respond to a tough team, and the Heat are a tough team. Sure, it’s preseason, but Miami wasn’t fooling around. Theis played pretty well with our crowd of young guys, in my opinion, although I’d like to see him get some boards. He was comfortable out there with them, provided a veteran presence on the court. House, on the other hand, was a waste of 21 minutes.

Wood? I don’t know what’s up with him. He just seemed off and he needs to get it together. It’s hard not to harp on how young our team is, but it is a young team and they’re looking to our veterans to show them the ropes. Wood seems a bit uncomfortable in that role. I hope he gets over it in a hurry.

Look up my post history. I argued against paying him much.
