ClutchFans Game Thread: Heat @ Rockets 10/7/2021 (Preseason)

My magic eight ball says we don't land the #1 pick this year. We'll get Banchero this go round, and will luck into Wenbanyama the following year and that's when this gets really fun.,

 

The rook is too light in the ass. He’s finding out quick this ain’t the G league. The key will be how he adjusts during the season and especially during the next off season.

 

Green looking very, very good. That’s the biggest aspect to me. His shot is a bit off and he scores 16 and .58 TS. That’s amazing for a rookie.

 

He went pretty strong. It was just well defended with some contact that were arguably foul calls.

 

He's just not in the G league anymore, finishing over legit NBA big men is considerably more difficult. He'll figure it out though.

 

So many people trashing Green for some reason. Are these Mobley fans?

 

LOL. He averaged 17 points in the G league and had 16 at half.

 

Dedmon is a bit of a stop sign out there. True 7-foot presence.

Green getting blocked twice, getting picked on every possession on defense, I thought he had a really bad start. But he didn't hang his head, didn't change his demeanor, didn't complain to the refs, kept playing hard, made a couple of threes and all of a sudden he has 16 at half. He's really winning me over. I don't even think he's having that great of a game, really poor defense, but I appreciate the positive attitude and relentlessness.

 

On 4-12 shooting and his team is down almost 20 lol. He’s got a long way to go to get to where he says he wants to be. That’s ok though, it’s a marathon not a sprint.

 

And all of them were contested because the Heat have closed down the paint. Not every team will be the Miami Heat and have Bam protecting the rim thankfully.

 

With that said, play Sengun some damn more minutes. He was killing it, again.

Yeah, and for the most part, a lot of the drives were against the Heat's primary defense. They're a damn good team and they're not about to give up easy layups to him. We, on the other hand, give them up freely....

 

I don’t give a damn about the score or his shooting percentage. The team losing isn’t his fault, and TS (.58) is way more important than shooting percentage.

 

Against one of the top few defenses in the NBA in his second NBA game ever where that team is trying like it's a NBA playoff series at least this first half. You can tell by how much they are b****ing at the refs. I'm sure Heat star player are going to rest most of the second half though.

 

Too much individual play out of the flow of the "offense". I put it in quotes because the offense felt like those shooting contests held during commercial breaks.
3 turnovers from Wood that could have been sure dunks and six more points had he held on to the ball *for those that say he isn't getting his opportunities.

Lowry, Jesus Cristo. WTF? He needs to tone it down he was about to get TKO'd by his own teammate, Butler.

Is Take sick? his composure is missed.

 

He's only one doing anything on offense. It's not like anyone else is scoring efficiently the Heat is shutting us out inside
