I think Christian Wood was upset about his own play. He didn't play well. He was really happy about winning the game. High Fiving Teammates at the end.
KPJ will be a star. If we’re debating Green vs KPJ 3 or 4 years from now I’d consider that wildly successful.
He certainly looked like our best player last night . his control looked fantastic last night and his good stat line wasn’t just the case of hot-shooting . looked nice on defense too . if we get Eric Gordon playing hard , a lineup of Gordon / kpj/ Tate / X / wood could be quite good .
I like a big who plays with emotion. Wood has a chip on his shoulder and plays angry. This is a good thing.
KPJ is and will be the best player on the roster this year. I'm so happy for him. He is playing with much more control, and his passing will be on full display now without Wall. I'm really excited to see him and Green grow together.
I'm sure this will trigger @chenjy9 But he also believes he is qualified to diagnose future injuries so he is a bit fvcked up in the head.
Its one game guys. Keep an eye on him when hes under pressure. He will easily get frustrated. This is something he needs to improve. Watching for this for the next few games
One thing he needs to get better at is getting easier shots. I trust in him as a star potentially, but one thing I notice last night is he had a great game but almost all his shots were tough or difficult shots outside of the step back which are highly skilled difficult shots itself. Even the fast breaks he was involved in seemed more difficult the they should’ve been.
I set the bar at role player because I thought who would give up more than a possible role player for so little - a young one - on a bad team. It's not like CLE needed to open a vet spot because they were in win now mode. I mean it just made no sense. I know it's only been a few games from last year and 1 preseason game, but he's past role player already - at least for us. I know there are going to be frustrations and it won't all be roses this season but the fun part is watching these players grow.
Hopefully we don't trade Kevin Porter Jr to the Suns for Jae Crowder and a lottery protected 1st in a few years.
