Yeah no player is without flaws or areas for improvement but this is like comparing your son with failing grades to Albert Einstein. Well Einstein failed his first college entrance exam so my dumbass son is a late bloomer genius just like Einstein!

Some analogies make sense and some don't. Lebron getting criticized for the LAST SHOT is different from Simmons scoring 1 fg or 0 fg in entire 4Qs. Plus , it was technically the correct play. Lebron passed to Mo Williams just like MJ passed to Kerr for the game winner or Shaq/Kobe passed to Robert Horry. Somehow when Bron does the same thing its wrong lol.

Green is not letting anyone hinder his drive.

Simmons will or would benefit from that.

But also Green and Porter are too raw as facilitators and don't need so much pressure
to be the predominant driving force. Simmons would be a good fit in the Silas system.
I don't know who would be going out in a Wall-Simmons trade? Eric Gordon, House, Augustin?
A 3rd team would need to get involved because Wall makes too much money vs just Simmons.

If Christopher shoots 3's as well as he did tonight.....it complicates things.

Rockets need a back up point and more rebounding and defense in starting 5.

JC and Augustin are shooting guards.

Trade Wall-Sekou-2 FRP for Simmons & contracts.

It's obvious that Rockets need defense.

    Did you watch tonight's game????

Rockets already have a team full of players who cant shoot.

    One more will not hurt.

And the game was won by locking down on defense.

    DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS.

And as is the Rockets are probably good enough to be in that Play-In
    portion of the tournament.

That means 3% or 2% chance of landing Paolo Banchero with the #1 pick.
We would at least have Simmons to guard Banchero.

But imagine being in the Play-In tournament and being entered in the NBA lottery....
and actually landing the number one pick.

Too good, the NBA gods wouldn't allow it. But a fan can dream, can't we?

Defense matters even more in regular season.

And becomes vital in the postseason.

    Things clicking yet?

    Everywhere, especially our starting 5.

But yes, paint defense would be good.

Because players win championships and picks don't. What's this freakin fascination with multiple picks after we just got all the players we needed with picks already. The time for gathering picks has ended. Now it's time to use some of those picks to finish building the team.

Grass is Greener Loser Mentality at its worst.

Rockets got "lucky" in getting top 4 pick.

    Unlikely it happens again.

Not if he keeps playing like he did tonight, he won’t.
