Ok guys i think everyone here agrees that we got to get rid of Cato for anything. So I thought why not trade with Denver, Orlando, and Tronto in a 4-way deal.
(Remember this is just an idea)

    Orlando gets:
    Antonio Davis
    Carlos Rogers

    Tronto gets:
    Raef LaFrents
    Kelvin Cato

    Denver gets:
    Tracey Murray
    Bo Outlaw
    Tronto's 1ST Round DP

    Houston gets:
    Mike Miller
    Kevin Willis

Now why do the teams do this trade:
    - Orlando gets there man in A. Davis and a good back up PF/C in C. Rogers.
    - Tronto gets a very up and coming PF in R. LaFrents and K. Cato(could be good one day, I'm not willing to wait around forever.)
    - Denver gets a sharp shooting 3-point shooter in T. Murray(with the zone coming into play he could get a lot touches) and a very good back up for McDyces in B. Outlaw and a 1st round DP from Tronto.
    - Houston gets a young star on the rise in M. Miller who can back up M. Taylor and we get K. Willis, who has played here before and he can back up Olajuwon(I think the Rockets are going to re-sign him.)
Now I dont if all the salary comes up right I don't know how that works. But this was just a thought I had that makes 4 teams happy.
What do you guys think of this idea?

The topic should be "AN idea to get rid of Cato."

Any way, it's an interesting proposal. seems beneficial to everyone, although I think that Outlaw would be a better fit on the Rockets than Mike Miller; Miller's got great offense and passing, but he seems to lack the lateral movement that is necessary for good defense. Do we really need another offensive threat that can't defend? Besides, he's not a PF, and I don't think he's versatile enough to do so.

Outlaw can board and play D and he hustles and doesn't demand the ball. I think I might rather have him.

I also don't think Houston will be able to trade Carlos Rogers. He's a free agent, and anyone could easily sign him outright. And nobody's going to need Houston's birdrights on him, since he's not worth more than an exception anyway.

Actually I see one flaw, the Nuggets get weaker, losing LaFrentz. Of course if LaFrentz plans to leave or something, then it makes sense.

Too good to be true for Houston.

How is it to good to be true for Houston? I'm assuming since you're a Knicks fan you're looking for a reason to rag on the Rocks, but how is it to good for us?

Kelvin Cato and Carlos Rogers (what maybe 15 mpg combined last year?)

    for

    Mike Miller and Kevin Willis

Two scrubs, one having an absurd contract

    for

Last year's rookie of the year and a good backup big man (something rare in the NBA)

I'm sorry, but it's not even at all.

Why would the Rockets want Mike Miller? We already have Griffin, T-Mo, Langhi, Walt and maybe Bull to play the SF postion. We do not need another 3. Also, we can not trade Carlos Rogers, he is now a free agent.

They would want Miller because he was ROY, young, shoots, and has a cheap contract. He clearly blows away Langhi and is similiar to Walt but only half the price. Bullard is probably gone regardless of Miller coming. Id rather just send a draft pick for Miller and get rid of Bull, Langhi, and let Morris sit the bench for a few seasons. Im sure even the Langhi lovers would prefer Miller.

Langhi definitely brings more of a height advantage than Miller. Don't give up on him just yet.

Remember that rookie class was probably the worst class since 1986.
