He does bring an opinion, but he's already blowing smoke up our ass in the video. The challenge will be can he bring something new to all 82 games or will it get a little repetitive. That however, is the challenge for anyone. It's just that he could get annoying because he can be so opinionated. It's a fine line he will need to walk. I do like him on ESPN tho.
You don't think so? I have been so impressed. I already think he's head and shoulders better than anybody we've had since Calvin.
First impression is that he isn’t annoying, that was the biggest concern given we’ll have to listen to him for long durations of time. Hope he gets better at adding valuable basketball takes but he lets Craig lead.
His highs are a little too high. Don't have to get overly excited about hype plays to the point where you mistake a player for another player. But easily fixable. For his first quarter in his first call, he did really well.
He's definitely better than Clyde. But that was a low bar. We'll see if he's at least as good as Millard but so far he's insightful enough and isn't just platitudes like Drexler.
Not bad so far. I love Bull and Drexler and all they did for the Rockets as players, but neither one was a good color commentator. I suppose it’s not hard to be better than those two, but so far Hollins has achieved that, at least.
