Obvious, but...Now, that we're for the most part, healthy...the pitching staff has to hold up, and we need to be able to manufacture runs.
We knew both fronts needed to be handled going into the season. Replacing Springer with a high OBP/speed guy that can pick it wasn't taken care of. I know you guys have been talking about Straw/Meyers, but that isn't the answer.
And, the moves they made as far as the staff haven't cut the mustard.

It's my hope that we have enough to go all the way with our strong lineup, and what we have on the mound.

    Go Astros!

I find that scoring runs and prevent the other team from scoring runs is really effective.

Astros have the best average and K rates in baseball and have scored the most runs. I don't know how much mustard you want cut.

Postseason baseball...To get beyond TB, we're going to have to win some close games....

We have a better record than Tampa in one runs games.

Remarkable that despite the suspect bullpen we have the best record in 1 run games amongst the AL division winners.

Just like every year you need your pitchers to step up and you need your hitters to produce with RISP. We’ve seen Framber, LMJ, Garcia, Urquidy, and even Grienke pitch like aces during stretches of the season. Let’s see who shows up this postseason.

Two things: hit better than the other team and pitch better than the other team :D

    1. Offense has to rake
    2. Garcia or Urquidy need to be dominant.

There's nothing like the intensity of playoff baseball. Every pitch counts. C'mon Stros kick some White Sox A**

Our starting pitching has faded the last month. Stros can keep them on a short leash. We will see.

It’s gonna come down to our pitching. No other way to slice it.

2019 we had Cole, Verlander and Grienke carrying us and we still couldn’t pull it out.

Is our pitching better this season than then? No, but hey… maybe magic will happen.

They went from 2nd in the AL (3.60, including Sept, so that's lower for pre-Sept) to 6th in the AL (4.02 Sept)

Framber has to pitch like he did in the 2020 Postseason.

Graveman needs to get his stuff back together

    Play with a lead.

Stay healthy. Don't let Altuve get picked off.
