I think he’s from Los Angeles but he worked at Uchiko in Austin until he became big on Youtuve. Now he’s in Houston.
Weird. He must've made a pit-stop in high school or something : https://www.chron.com/neighborhood/...t-prepares-for-launch-of-cookbook-9610111.php https://www.chron.com/neighborhood/...anch-student-creates-cookbook-for-5367017.php I was sent a link to one of his videos last year and had to stop watching before I ate the monitor. Listening to the videos he makes now compared to the promo video he did for his first book, you wouldn't think it was the same person.
I remember him saying something about growing up with In-N-Out in this video but I don’t know much more than that. His stuff is great and one of my favorite cooking content creators. While we have access to almost anything we would need to make our favorite American foods, we have to make much of it from scratch and with slightly different ingredients. An example would be making cornbread with filmjölk versus buttermilk. Some of our favs are his Popeye’s chicken, dinner rolls, shepherd’s pie, and carrot cake.
Weird, his vids started showing up on recommendations I'm wondering how this guy isn't fat but maybe he hasnt hit 30 yet
