With the Yanks losing big to the Rays right now and Blue Jays already killing the Orioles butt it's almost safe to say that all 4 will be within a game of each other come tomorrow.

Are you rooting for any two of those teams to get the wildcard and if so why?

Which one has the best chance of beating the Rays would be my guess. According to the below stats I would be rooting for the Mariners to come back and face the Rays as they are a hot team right now.

-Jays are 8-11 against the Rays
-Yanks will be 7-11 against the Rays after today
-Red Sox are 8-11 against the Rays (but only 4-11 in their last 15)
-Mariners are a surprising 6-1 against the Rays

I'm just hoping for total chaos and a 4 way tie for the play in teams.

Need the Rays to complete the Yankee's sweep.
Need the Blue Jays to complete the Orioles sweep.
Need Seattle to win the next 2 and Boston to lose 1 of their last 2.

    It's gonna happen.

It would be exciting. But I also fear manfreds reaction to that excitement is to have more playoff teams/rounds.

Juan Soto, who is not 19 years old, barely misses a grand slam with 1 out in the bottom of the 8th. Sac fly ties the Red Sox at 1 heading to the 9th.

Dumbass on 1B got thrown out at 2B trying to tag up, dumbass at 3B was not busting it home on the sac fly, he might not have crossed the plate in time but for whatever reason they didn't review it.

Juan Soto, who is not 19 years old, takes a horrible route to a ball that was drilled to RF, goes over his glove by inches, 2-out RBI triple for the Massholes, followed by an RBI single. 3-1 top 9. Our dream of a 4-way tie is looking questionable.

    LOL

On a related note, Peyton calling Joe Buck "an idiot" the other night on the MNF telecast him and Eli have been doing on ESPN2 was absolutely hilarious.

I want the 4 way tie and then the Yankees missing the playoffs.

Seems like the three team tie creates more havoc than the 4 team tie (from a scheduling standpoint).

3 team tie will lead to two days worth of games and then the WC game gets pushed back to Wednesday (with the winner having to travel and play the ALDS on Thursday... possible 4 different games in 4 different cities over 4 days).

If its a 4 team tie, there will be two games on Monday.. and the winners play each other on Tuesday as scheduled.

Also, the most intriguing thought scenario is a three team tie for the second wild card.

Would you rather have the choice of winning 2 games at home to advance... or winning just one game on the road? While there is always a semblance of home field advantage and not having to travel, in the end any of these teams can win any one game. Having to win 2 games (regardless of site) still seems tougher than winning one game.

Anyways, if that were to happen they'd be ranked in order of tiebreakers, and the team with the highest rank gets to make that choice.

In a mythical scenario where the Astros-Blue Jays-Mariners were involved... i'd actually take the chance of the Astros winning one game in Toronto or Seattle vs. having to beat both of those teams in back to back games at home.
