I was just listening to Sports 610am; Lopez, B. Scott and Figgie in particular and just happen to hear their take on the new addition of Ryan Hollins to the Rockets Broadcast, since they never talk about anything Rockets related. And as usual any time it's something pertaining the Rockets it's NEGATIVE! So I amused myself and listened but this I thought went overboard! Lopez made mentioned of how Hollins never scored more than double figures in a game and how he had low statistical numbers throughout his career and the others chimed in. Furthermore, they went on about how other announcers on ESPN disrespected Ryan and how he was ill informed. First of all, forget the bench, I DON'T CARE if a Mthr Fker sat in the stands, if he was apart of the team and made $1M+ a yr, who am I to laugh and make fun of him?? One of their verify own, Clint Sterner, was a 3rd string QB, rode the bench, made plenty of money and Im damn sure he's proud of it! Also, he and his co-host bungle words all the time and I love it, because they are real! It is what it is but to me that's what's wrong with so many of us today......IN STEAD OF CONGRATULATING, WE'RE CONSTANTLY HATING!
Your first mistake was listening to 610, especially if John Lopez is on. Secondly, it's a peculiar hire. I know it's the network making the hire but Tilly should respect himself and the organization, crack open the coin purse and get Cuttino in there
Actually, I click back and forth between 610, 790 and ESPN but I just so happen to tune in and picked up on what they were saying. On Hollins, I thought it would be interesting to have a different view point from someone outside the organization

I turned off Sports radio a couple years ago when I found out just how uninformed they are on the things they discuss .... Particularly when talking about to the Texans. About 2/3rd of what they have to say is just wrong. Especially in regard to the Watson situation , Cal & Easterbunny & all the negativity. And why on earth 610 has a former Cowpie QB on their roster is beyond me , couldn't they get a former Texans player instead ? As for Clint Sterner , that dude is brain dead & full of cliché .... among other things.
Radio unknown dudes jealous of a Tall Black Player that is on the bench making millions. Just Jealousy at this point. Ryan Hollins I think is a Positive Person. Regardless of his opinions, I think he can fit in broadcast better than paid "Fake Take" Opinions.
I don’t like the hire for one reason….. I feel bad for ppl who will sit behind him, he’s way too tall. I was all for Earl Boykins getting the job. 610 is trash. Lopez is the dumbest person ever.
I understand why you turned off Sports radio but I can appreciate Clint. He's a just local boy who played sports and love to talk about it! My problem is with those who NEVER played professional nor collegiate and has the audacity to downplay someone's stats who played PROFESSIONALLY.

I only listen to national sports radio. There are some idiotic things on there too but it’s way better.
i have XM so yes. I think espn radio is free though but it’s the worst of them maybe. You can probably find them all somewhere online.
Really good players don't necessarily make good announcers. One has very little to do with the other. I don't know anything about his abilities, but it might be that announcing is his true calling and he just decided to go the pro player route to make as much money as possible while he could. It's possible that you are hearing the jealous rage of some people who were passed over for the job.
John Lopez is the whitest Hispanic in all the land. John and Lance speak better Spanish then him. Dude eats his tamales with ketchup for goodness sake. What a putz.
Lol! Definitely glad that he made it out, as I am of all the others who grew up hard and are now living better BUT this guy flaunts it ALL the time and that's what turns me off
