Astros losses after the 5th inning

    35 times this season the Astros have lost a game in which they were either tied or ahead in the score at some point from the start of the 6th inning on.

    I don't have the exact number, but there were at least a half dozen more games in which we were at some point down by only 1 run from the 6th inning on.

    That doesn't bode well for the playoffs.

    On a silver lining note, we have not been competitive in about only 20 games this season.

    92 times this season the Astros have won a game in which they were leading when the game ended.

    Absolutely. In the playoffs the Astros only need to have the lead when the game is over 11 times. It's a lot easier to do this 11 times than 92.

    And they have 19 games to do it in. So they only need to do it 58% of the time.
