It also means articulate. Shame that word, spelled as it is, has 2 different pronunciations and 2 different definitions, either of which would have kind of fit with your sentence.
for the record, I meant “well-spoken”. But I have a feeling @bobrek was asking because he thought I was making an actually racist comment. Has anyone ever observed that a sarcasm font would be useful on the internet, or am I the first? [\sarcasm]
I have often proposed ~sarcasm~ since the ~ ~ is right on top of every keyboard and looks like an s that's fallen down laughing. But my suggestion has never caught on. ~You guys are brilliant.~
What a cluster. Just move the team to Montreal full time. It’s a better historical market, would be closer to NY/Boston, they get a natural rivalry again with Toronto… although with the latest shenanigans, looks like Jays-Rays rivalry has got some teeth. Baseball in Florida is going to be a never-ending boondoggle. Marlins included. Great for spring training…
True, although having a monopoly on a product the locals are addicted to certainly helps. Who am I kidding, the brilliant business mind of Cal is what makes them their money.
Even tough he's dead, the Texans are built on Bob McNair's business competence. The decisions that the Rays front office have made will likely not keep them as good as long as Bob McNair's monopoly keeps the Texans printing money.
Granted, I may be bitter because the Texans dominance in the Houston market has limited talk on the Astros and the Rockets.
They’ve already said they’re not going to do it… but given the coverage this recieved, seems like they got what they wanted. Awareness of their intentions.
I haven't watched enough of them day-in-day-out to have an informed opinion about him, but I'm not sure how any manager could have dealt with having a pitching staff fall apart with injuries like the Pads' did.
