Heh... Beto making things happen. But watch the Texas republican voter suppression army rush back into the legislature to add a law to stop this...

"The killer was let out on bond"

A couple of things I found interesting about this case in which he wants to make the face of his new 'law'.
The guy that did the ambushing was a military veteran with clear PTSD.
He was let go on a prior assault, sound familiar? But this is before these new 'radical' judges even thought about running.
But wait there is more, the guy that made it possible for the killer to be out on bond was a republican who later won a primary.

So this idea that it's only the 'radical leftist socialist satanists' that have been letting people out on bond is pure propaganda.
It's been happening under both D&R leadership and it's a problem that dates all the way back to the 80s. Probably more if I kept searching.
I think the 'Damon Allen Act' would be good if it only targeted violent crimes but with the Gop, well we know how they roll.

Abbott is just an as*hole. He wants to act like he is all gun ho on supporting cops and protecting citizens. The problem is he's a hypocrite putting cops and citizens at risk in every way possible by his piss poor leadership. He needs to be addressing mental illness and amping funding for more outreach and services for those in need. He needs to be proactive in addressing Covid instead of gathering maskless selfish donors in masses and fighting anyone wanting to mandate masks and vaccines. He needs to tighten, not loosen gun laws. All he's doing is ANYTHING BUT protecting our cops and our citizens from harm.

Toss his sorry as* into the Rio Grande along with Cruz, Trump, and the rest. I'll take an immigrant crossing the border any day over the "real killers, the real threats" in the Red Party.

Texas AG Paxton’s $2.2M voter fraud unit closed three cases in 2021. GOP lawmakers still boosted its budget.

Can you imagine if they spent all that time and resources actually helping Texans? Their witch hunt is focused on all BUT the devil in disguise they idolize. He's the real con and fraud.

I don't think Crenshaw is in the same wing of the party as Charlie Baker or Larry Hogan.
