I would rather play the Whitesox than the Yankees, Redsox, or Bluejays...who will be the wildcard winner.

For sure. I've never been a fan of him as a tactical manager. Good guy but terrible decision making.

I’ve counted 17 instances in September alone when his insistence on putting Presley into the 9th to face the bottom of the order in a tied game instead of saving him for the ghost runner in the 10th has cost the Astros the win.

Making **** up now? 17? The Astros haven't played 17 extra inning games in September...LOL.

My point was team has been playing inline with its preseason projections.

I don’t think any of these measures are particularly good ways to judge manager impact, and every analysis I’ve seen that has tried has basically come to the conclusion manager impact is minimal.

Did Scott Servais suddenly become a +14 manager after being even the previous 2 years? Dusty was -1 last year, did he suddenly become worse? Prior to this year, Dusty was +6 for his career (better than Bobby Cox who was -12). 7 wins against Pythagorean is normal variation. Records in one run games are mostly luck.

Dusty didn’t go 2-17 with risp and leave 21 on base in the last three one run losses.

I keep hearing if he wants to come backs he's got another 2 year contract waiting for his signature.

I hope not. He served a purpose and now that purpose is gone. We need to give Manfred the finger and steal AJ from Detroit.

Dusty is not and never will be a pick of CLICK. He is CRANE's pick. If he's given a new contract, it will be Cranes decision. Click probably won't stir the water to even protest.

Crane is an absolute moron if he even considers giving Dusty even another season.

I agree, but I never liked the idea in the first place.

Crane hired both Dusty and Click under duress. The team needed to be stabilized immediately in order to avoid even more damage than Manfred had already caused. The process that Click or any owner would have chosen to put the leaders of his organization in place would have been much more deliberative. This off season is the right time for Crane to take back control of his team. I would be very disappointed if he did not have people chosen and plans in place to do that as soon as the season is over.

#1 in runs scored, #1 in fielding pct and #4 in era

Any teams in past history that had these credentials won well past 100 games, not 93-94 like this team is about to do.

Dusty Baker is a failure. No other way to look at it.

I agree with you, we dominated the White Sox this season and is a great matchup for us.

Don't want to face Cole and the Yankees to start off the playoffs.
