Casey Thompson is probably the most patient QB at Texas I've seen since McCoy. I saw him go through 4-5 reads on multiple plays against Tech.
I'm also going to jump the gun a lot and say Casey will be a NFL quarterback. The guy just thinks at NFL speed. It's hard to measure but I know it when I see it. He has "Football IQ". Just wait until he builds some more chemistry with his young receivers where he can predict where they are going to be.
I knew he was special as soon as I saw him in the bowl game last year. I'm not sure why it took the new coaching staff a couple games to see how he's the better option on game day. Not sure he bears Arkansas, but he would have given us a chance.
we need to recruit another australian punter, let dicker practice kicking again he ain't justin tucker.
OL didn’t allow a single QB pressure on Saturday per PFF. Hopefully Flood can continue to build on that which would be huge.
LOL. I can say that there is something different with Sark and the team in terms of attitude and energy. You get the sense that this team still feels there is unfinished business and isn't too high on themselves after the last two games. Herman got this team to play hard for the important games but couldn't maintain the energy all season long. Sark seems haven't gotten the team to think this is how we are supposed to play every week, and need to even concentrate even more for the big games.
TCU is a huge test. It was always one step forward two steps back under Herman so we’ll see if Sark can get this team playing at a consistent level week in week out. Also Patterson is pissed and would love nothing more than to keep punking UT like he has. Can’t come out flat.
For sure. I wasn't as excited about the Sark hire as I was for the Herman hire, but he's converted me in the way he has gone about his business. He picked Card because of how they played in practice, and he switched pretty fast after how they played in games. He's letting players prove themselves and goes with who's proven themselves. It does help that Casey has the highest rating in all of college football. If anything, he deserves to be the starting quarterback for every game moving forward. 18 of 20 drives that he has played has resulted in a score. That is a crazy conversion rate.
Zack Evans will be a huge test for the front 7, best RB we'll face all season. Fun fact: when they came out of HS, Bijon was the #16 prospect in the country and Evans was #17, iirc And yes, TCU is pissed off after the SMU debacle.
Sloppy-ass start. Bad kick coverage, bad tackling, bad penalties, bad OL blocking, bad snap, bad punt returning. Bad. Bad, I say.
