Did not know about the Silas-Curry connection. His experience mentoring Curry* is a great boon to his position mentoring KPJ, Green, and others. His experience on both winning and losing teams is also valuable. I dig it.

*Disclaimer: curry is the such an annoying self-obsessed priss, the Warriors were a ref-manipulated dynasty, KD is a sellout, and I will forever hate that Warriors team. But Curry is talented, there can be no denial.

Silas also has history of developing young Lebron James.

True, to the extent that Lebron 'developed', he came in as a power house. And then there's Doncic. Silas should know what early talent looks like.

Was him driving a Tundra just product placement?

I'm thinking Silas should get a blank slate for this season, last year essentially being a throw away considering all the drama. It's extremely difficult to evaluate a novice HC under such circumstances.

Didn’t learn a whole lot TBH
    but
Silas has not aged a day. :D

Seems like a cool dude, nice guy…
Waited his turn only to be dealt a shitty hand
I hope he succeeds (and therefore the Rockets succeed) and he’s the coach for the next 20 years.
(OK I guess a little more realistic,…not just here for the shitty years because we need a guy to coach and then dumped)

He coached LeBron, Curry, Doncic, and Kemba as rookies.

    My thoughts:

    1. Did Silas get a free Toyota Tundra from this documentary?
    2. Great to see that Silas coached a rookie Lebron and Steph.
    3. I hope for his and our sake there will be a longer documentary down the line with how his tenure with the Rockets went.

Of the stars list in the doc. The player I liked was the Hornets/Warriors Baron Davis. Baron was a stud back the day.

Seems like Silas is ideal for developing young stars. He created a #1 ranked offense around Doncic with mediocre talent IIRC.

I'm still not sold on his ability to be a championship coach, but for right now he's a good fit.

Turns out we have the right guy at the right time for the right team in the right city. Nothing wrong with that. Loved the documentary. It changes nothing about how I feel about our coach.
