Sizzlers record is stuck. He posted the same thing in my thread yesterday. Give him a slight nudge. He'll be alright.
"Push to make the playoffs in 2022" is about the equivalent of "trade Chris Paul for Russell Westbrook" in terms of valuing what's best for the future of the Rockets
Dude doesn't even want to get better. All he does is get defensive and say that he contributes enough already. His mentality sucks and his contract sucks and his teammates don't like him. "We gotta get this guy!" - various morons
Counterpoint: 25 yr old 3x all star, all NBA, 2x all defensive team, 2nd best player on the best team in East last year, ROY, Led league in steals, potentially the best defender in the NBA soon "DONT WANT BECAUSE poor shooter, bad interviewing skills/poor mentality" - all the rest of the morons.
I don't understand these fans who think continuous TANKING is the best solution. You get better by taking steps. 8-10 seed this yr, 4-6 seed in 2 yrs and WCF/Finals in 3-4 yr. Similar to OKC with Harden, Westbrook and KD. Also, you can't attract FA to a team that's tanking. There is more than one way to win....Players want to go where they can win
If I were Morey, I'd rather take a chance on striking gold on another young up and comer like he did with Harden. Collin Sexton will be better than CJ McCollum.
And the next step is to suck again this year while we have control of our pick, in a draft that's supposed to be good.
Well I wouldn’t consider anything that’s happening here continuous since year 2 of the rebuild hasn’t even begun. And while most are hopeful that Green and Porter are something to start building upon we don’t know yet and when you consider what OKC did in their first couple rebuilding years with what most would consider much better prospects, I don’t think our current roster is ready to be pushing for anything but more talent through the draft. OKC 07 : 31 wins and lucked into the #2 pick 08 : 20 wins Durant and Greens rookie year 09 : 23 wins with 2nd year Durant and Green and rookies Westbrook and Ibaka 10: 50 wins adding a Rookie Harden This year MIGHT be our version of OKCs 08 or 09.
Mobley, Love to Houston Rubio, Gordon, Wood, 3 1sts via Hou to Phi Simmons, Curry to Cle This would be a phenomenal outcome for Hou. Doesn’t interfere with the timeline, preserves the cap space plan for 2023, adds a unicorn at a position of need for our core. Still allows us to tank for 2 more years with a lot of swings for superstars.
