Suing anyone for Defamation is usually a waste of money. The vast majority of people are entirely "judgment proof" - they don't have any money. Best case scenario is Carmine's wins a judgment, which is a piece of paper signed by the Judge they can frame and put on their wall. That piece of paper will cost them 10's of thousands of dollars.

I haven't the foggiest idea what you mean when you say, "collect from the lawyer" either.

 

Practically speaking, I know you're right. These judgment-proof trash people are able to cause significant damage without repercussions. But that doesn't seem right. They've got some money if they were able to travel. Their lawyer is only helping them cause damages to Carmine's.

People have caught on to how quickly a mob can be weaponized against the accused with no evidence. There need to be laws to protect innocent parties. Those responsible shouldn't be free from consequences.

 

They initially claimed the whole restaurant staff was racist but dialled it back to the asian hostess. Now it's been revealed all of the wait staff are people of color and appear to be predominantly black.

 

Their cause is to get rich off of it. They don't care about actually helping black people

The DWI case against a former Dallas County prosecutor who police say referenced the KKK and called a black police sergeant an “Uncle Tom" during a driving stop has been dismissed.

Justin Avery Moore, 28, had been a licensed attorney for about a year before his arrest in January. He was fired after police say he was pulled over in the early morning hours after changing lanes frequently.

The district attorney's office had obtained a special prosecutor to handle the case to avoid a conflict of interest prosecuting a former employee. First assistant Messina Madson declined to comment on whether the outcome would change their position on Moore's employment.

Moore's attorney, Scottie Allen, said in a statement Monday that he and his client are "extremely pleased that the special prosecutors honored their duty to seek justice and not just a conviction."

"Mr. Moore can now put this unfortunate incident behind him and continue to focus on making our community better for everyone," he said.
