I wait until a sale hits, either new or used. I picked up Hitman III for PS5 for like $14 last week and this game just came out months ago.

As for NBA 2K, it's been ass for the past few seasons now. Heavy on the use of VC and not enough development on the actual gameplay.

That’s true. What were games then 39.99-49.99??

I remember not having to pay for different Ken and Ryu skins though.

I usually do the same. With the way games are filled with bugs or incomplete, I haven't felt the need to get any right away when they come out. I don't know about PS but it doesn't take long for a sale on XBOX. Plus with the Xbox rewards the games I do buy on day one have been free.

XBox really have a good subscription model I wish Sony would copy. In regards to bugs, it definitely made the Cyberpunk experience fun!

It's on sale a ****ton, for as low as 10 bucks.
But agree with others, it's not as good as in the past and I only played for like 30min.

Still nothing in stock. At this point I think these systems are just urban legends.

Sony just released the firmware that lets you install an expansion SSD in the PS5, so I went ahead and got myself one, specifically a 2TB WD_Black SN850 with heatsink. Which, going by teh interwebz, seems to be the gold standard. Was a bit hard to find the version with heatsink; they are generally sold out everywhere or have insane markups ($250+). (EDIT to add: I got mine at BestBuy when they suddenly had stock early yesterday morning, but 24 hours later they are already sold out again)

In regards to installation, I want to note that while Sony’s official video is great in every other regard, the big thing I had issues with was their directions for getting the cover off. Sony’s video tells you to position your hands to the side and lift off with your right hand. I found this insanely awkward, didn’t get anywhere, and felt like if I applied any more strength I was going to break the thing.

Then I found this video, where instead of positioning your lifting hand on your right and pulling left, you flip the thing 90 degrees so the part you’re hauling on is being pulled towards you. Using this technique I popped the cover off in maybe 15 seconds of trying, as opposed to several minutes of nothing using the approach in Sony’s video.

Everything besides popping the cover off is very easy; you just have to make sure you don’t drop the screws or spacer into the PS5 internals, haha.

Transfer between drives is insanely fast. Quite happy with it. No more need to be deleting things all the time for re-download later, and no external sitting there taking up space either.

I also got the 2 TB Western Digital SN850 from Amazon when it was on sale recently. I haven’t installed it yet because I got the version without the heat sink, and preordered this one that’s made for the PS5 (it replaces the SSD slot’s metal cover).

This dude works for Sabrent so the video will come off as an ad.

So I hear a select few Best Buys in the Houston area will have some PS5's on hand for 9/23. I legit would be camping right now had I not secured a PS5 last year.
