I think he's talking about Embiid.

Might see a 3 team Wall and a couple of picks to Philadelphia, Simmons to Minnesota/Golden State/Kings/Wizzards, payroll savings to Rockets, picks given up by snowflake suitor.

I read some article that popped up on my phone about how House and Green are really hitting it off on the court in their scrimmages alongside Al-P and dominating for a few weeks or something like that. Assuming Wood and KPj are on the other team and they can't even beat my boys Thriller and Al-P, then why not consider Ben at PG?

Still not high on KPj. Especially at PG. Dude takes a million head and body fakes before making a move and dribbles the air out of the ball. Not gonna fit with Green that I saw in SL. He's a sell high option to me. Of course he can prove me wrong and ill admit I was wrong and enjoy rooting for him, but if he's Harden like but not nearly as good, im not in the mood to watch that kind of basketball anymore. It was boring enough with an all time HOFer. Why would I want to watch a poor man's version of the same?

Rockets would be very lucky if even just ONE of these players you list is multiple All Star and perennial DPOY candidate before age 25.

I’m rooting for his success, but I’m not as sold as others. It’s kind of the reason I’ve leaning in favor of the Simmons trade. Lots of people are talking about the Rockets future including KPJ, Christopher, Garuba and next year’s draft pick. Those are all still unknowns to me. And I’m not seeing much in the way of younger players available in free agency the next few years. If you get a chance at a 25 year old multiple All-Star and an eventual DPOY, I think you need to look seriously at it. Sure, he’s overpaid, but it shouldn’t affect the offers we will be making to our own players if they pan out.

The media always overlooks the Rockets Players regardless.

Chris Paul 62 win season with the Rockets and he even wasn't a All Star.

James Harden should've had at least 5 MVPs but Media always ignored his Scoring and Assists. He is a Adidas Player.

Media Awards, Media Votes is Favoritism and being a Nike Player (Giannis, LeBron) feels fake with their Fake Narrative.

Simmons would absolutely weaponize that EGo-Nwaba-Tate led HOUnds 2nd unit.

A 6'10 player that can literally shut down positions 1-5, just ridiculous. Dame would have the squirts just thinking of all the dogs on the Rockets.

And so much hand wringing about Simmons lack of scoring but he still averaged about as many points as Porter.

But most importantly, this Rockets team does not lack for offense, not with Silas coaching and key new additions of Thriller and Sengun.

Rockets lack DEFENSE, rebounding and even ball handling, especially in the starting 5.

Toronto, Minnesota, Cleveland and San Antonio have all been linked with interest in Simmons, but none have the talent and suitability to give the Sixers what the team needs right now — a star point guard.

The Sixers are chasing an immediate replacement for Simmons and don’t want draft picks while the team believes it is in the championship window with Joel Embiid.

CP3 was injured A LOT during his 2 year tenure with the Rockets.

While Beard did deserve more MVPs, selection for All Star honors is not as politicized.

But let's forgo the mental gymnastics to avoid the point being made, Simmons accomplishments before age of 25 will be extremely difficult for the guys you list to equal, nevermind exceed.

For Simmons, why wouldn’t they think this way? He probably isn’t they guy most teams would go all in for.

Ben Simmons is a Defensive Specialist.
He has not improved in his 3 Point Shooting for 6 years (including LSU).
Ben made Only 5 - 3 Pointers in his 5 seasons with 76ers.

Ben Simmons Offensively is a Center at best playing Pick and Roll. Ben should be playing a Clint Capela Role on Offense.

Dearon Fox and Ben Simmons can work, playing the pick and roll.

The Rockets play 5 out offense.

Agree but KPJ is way younger with much higher ceiling than Simmons, and he's not on a ridiculous max contract.
Ball skills are already way above Simmons, he's got size, vision and athletic ability. Ceiling is insane, so I think that's why mgmt has taken the extreme step of making him a starter over a five-tine AllStar.
But you're right, he's got a looooooong way to go. Playing with more pace as you say is not even the top of his to-do list for now. How about defense, ball security, discipline. All I've seen so far is an insanely talented playground/pick-up player, not an NBA player.

One top 5 lottery protected pick...that's all, that's it. They can have Josh Christopher as well.

    Take it or leave it.

You can play PnR in 5 Out offense.

Do you even watch the Rockets?

Trading Simmons is quite likely Philly's last chance to substantially improve the team before Embiid hits UFA in 2023. They don't need a short term fix, they need something that will convince Embiid not to walk elsewhere. Does committing to John Wall (post achilles rupture version) at 90 plus million dollars really move the needle that much? Unless Embiid likes John (I have no idea about their relationship), I don't see Philly going all in there.

Our top two organizational assets right now are 1. Jalen Green; and 2. That 2022 top 5 draft pick. Why on earth would we destroy #2 by taking on someone who will raise our floor to a play-in team? That’s just Russell Westbrook pt 2, defensive boogaloo. I wouldn’t want that for John Wall straight up, and you’re talking about taking on a 4yr 147M contract to boot?! FUNK DAT

Ra-fell knows better to invest in fantasy.

That top 5 pick is not written in Stone.

Embiid is Olajuwon 2.0 just saying. Nobody is The Dream but...he is as close as I have seen.
