When was the last and when is the next Marvel Movie where the Avenger/Protagonist does NOT fight a horde of clones controlled by the ONE BAD PERSON? Haven't seen the TVs or the last couple of movies, so take that for what it's worth.
Black Panther, to me, wasn't really about the world ending either. And I imagine BP2 might be about Wakanda ending (not the world).
I agree. I was just pointing out that they have a mix of both, though they do like to lean into the world+ stakes, especially in the Avengers series.
Liked 8/10 -Some really great action and cinematics. Impressive last battle with dragons and water. -Liked the stakes and dramatic weight with his father, wasn't sure if he would try to save him or not. -Aquafina did great. She was not nearly as bad as I thought she would be. -The rings were cool -Did not like Aquafina game saving arrow. Kinda dumb. -Did not like the modern off road vehicles suddenly showing up at an ancient village. Weird. -Some of the Ancient battles scenes on ground felt a little too choregraphed and fake. Could have been how it was shot. -There was quite if bit of exposition with the father and the Mandarin actor, but it did help technically.
Finally got around to seeing it, not all but the first 30 mins. So much computer generated graphics in the fights. Not enough hand to hand combat from what I saw. Like, is this animation or live action? You can’t pick both marvel. I’m sorry but I prefer Mortal Kombat 2021. Marvel movies is just not for me man. Oh the bus fight was badass though. Once they get to Macau and that unfunny dude from the daily show, shows up, I had to pause the movie and wait for another time to finish it.
It was fun. And although I’ve read I should bury this sentiment, those Asian ladies are easy on the eyes.
It was okay. The ending Spoiler dragged on with drag ons. Climax didn't add much to the mcu except the Mandarin getting retconned again. Wish the actresses were hotter. The mom was the hottest. Don't know why China banned this. Seemed thin skinned.
I haven't finished it yet (half way through), but man, I was expecting it to be so much better. The lauded bus fight was just okay for me... comparing it to Jackie Chan is kind of an insult to Jackie Chan.. The fights are fine but I need these fights to be much better for the best fighter in the MCU.
They need to film more of the movies in this IMAX enhanced format. it really fills the screen at home.

Started a rewatch tonight with my wife since she hasn’t seen it. I actually enjoyed it more now than the first time I saw it.
